7:07 Yes, Negative roles is how SRK started his career. Filmmakers had called him ugly, so SRK thought he should go for villain/anti-hero/negative roles instead of trying for hero roles.
That time, all the contemporaries of SRK like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn were already well established young rising stars. While SRK was just a lower middle class Northerner from Delhi who had done few TV shows.
All those actors were too scared to do any anti-hero/negative roles, so they rejected many such films. SRK DID ALL THOSE FILMS & HE WAS SO GOOD AT BEING BAD THAT THE AUDIENCE ACTUALLY STARTED LOVING THE BAD GUY more than the hero of the films. THAT'S how brilliant SRK was.

19:03 Yes, good observation. SRK gets away with saying a lot of such "badass statements" without sounding disrespectful. It's because he's extremely sarcastic, witty & REAL. He does not fake to be nice. People already know how humble & modest he is, which is why when he talks like that, people don't get offended.
He even jokes about making arrogant statements. Just before saying that "last of stars" line, he had said how some people will call him arrogant if he said that, but he said it anyway 😂.

Not many people know...After SRK's parents died... SRK's sister got depressed and she got affected mentally... So he had to take care of her with his work... He took care of her inspite of all financial challenges throughout his life...She has still not recovered. This act of his is not a thing to boast about but I personally feel that a person who takes care of his family in every dire situation is a role model...
