Best time to spot platypus is around sunrise. If you go to a place where they live, just stand perfectly still and make no noise. Once I had one swim within a metre of my feet as I stood by the creek. Then some kids arrived and made some noise and the platypus disappeared.
I am hoping to start my working holiday next September 2021 once the borders are hopefully open. I will be going solo as well but I am sure I will meet some amazing people!!!
Hey Lille! congratulations on the amazing content! Is amazing to explore this beautiful country especially in a moment like this, so thanks for making that possible for many of us! we were wondering if you have a contact with which we can get in touch. Thanks and keep it up :)
The borders are currently shut, due to the damn virus. When thing return to normal, coming as a visitor/tourist is quite easy, though you might need a visa (depending on where you come from). Working in Australia is a bit more difficult, but temporary work permits are a possibility. Don't expect any easing of entry any time soon, because Australia has been fairly successful in containing the virus and restricting international travel is a key part of that success.

Okay, can you maybe mention a couple of them? And I am not a local that’s probably why I didn’t mention them

Do you think you are going to live in Australia permanently
Having moved to a new country, how do you make friends at first?
Usually in hostels or even through Facebook or just when going out 😊
