- An Ikea Besta unit with drawers is an ideal way to give all your stuff a home. It creates lots of useable space as the runners pull to reach places (especially on the base of the cabinet) much easier. No more going through the whole shelf contents to find a lost item, doesn't it sound great?
At first it seems that making drawers is more difficult than hanging shelves but that’s not the case; true that the job lasts a little bit longer, but all in all it’s definitely worth the effort as you will acquire more space and organization, particularly for the small objects.
So, if you’re fed up with constant searching for things and want everything at your fingertips instead, go ahead and build a cabinet with drawers. Watch the video and I’ll show you how to make a drawer, install the runners and put everything together.

Getting this drawer onto the runner is the hardest thing I've ever seen from IKEA. With this video I know how to do it if the runner isn't attached to the cabinet, but it's still hard to make it work when the runner _is_ attached.

Please make a video about how to fix a tall cabinet when it doesn't stand perfectly straight up. I've tried adjusting the feet in all combinations but I think the main problem is that the structure itself is somehow not firmly at right angles. Thanks!

Great video! But I can't align two drawns (one smaller on top a larger one). The top one is OK, but the bottom one is like tilted on the left

The clip can be undone. You can use a screwdriver.

So at the very end when you put the anchors in for the shelf...
That is where I am in assembling my piece but for me the back holes don’t seem to be at the same height as the front so that the anchors don’t line up and when I put in the shelf it doesn’t lay flat...
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
I think you are trying to put the anchors into the wrong holes. They sometime seem that they at the same level but in fact they aren't. Count the holes from top or bottom to make sure which are at the same level

Is it possible to fix the drawer without the front but use a door instead so that the drawer becomes a pull put shelf instead?

This has to be the most difficult furniture I have ever built. mainly the hinges and drawer runners.

We have the under the kitchen sink pullout with just one bottom shelf. Removed door to have new sink and countertops installed. When we put the door back in, it won't close all the way. Nothing is blocking it. It's almost like the self closing feature isn't working as it stops about an inch from closing. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? Cabinets are 1.5 years old. They're Sektion.

Try to loosen the slides screws and try to adjust slides by a few millimetres.
Underneath the drawer where the metal peg sits into the bottom of the drawer there is a tiny screw you can use to elevate or lower each side of the drawer

Because the larger front can be used as a door while the smaller ones cannot, so I would like to use the small fronts with the large drawer so I can use the large fronts as doors. Thanks a lot!

Does the door go to the complete edge of the frame?
Yes, there are only tiny gaps a few milliliters if that. You can regulate the hinge to make the gap as small as possible.
Can you elaborate on this? I have this huge gap, that can't be fixed by moving the rail one slot :(
This out of date with current Betsä drawers, the runner mechanism is totally different now.
Putting the drawer in it makes you a MI6 agent instantly
I have a unit but my drawers are not hanging straight... very annoying
There are two screws near the metal peg that slips into the bottom of the drawer near the front. They can elevate or drop each side of the drawer front.

Does the bottom of your lowest drawer align with the bottom of the besta? I’m having the hardest time trying to figure out how to get it to align. If I move the screws, the drawer hits below the unit or above the bottom of the unit.
Maybe you haven't attached "legs"?

Space inside in my drawers: width 513mm, depth 325mm, height 210mm. The bottom drawer height inside is 179 mm. You can buy different sizes of drawers:

At 4.24 min....I have this unit and pulled out my drawer and now i can NOT get it to go back in - is there anything you can point me to, to help me get this drawer back in? I have spent over an hour twice now and even got a friend to help and it will not go back in. Your video makes look like you just place it down but that is not working, please help!
Maybe take the drawer runner off and have a look. I would try to install in again

Yes, this is push-to-open version, the opening mechanism is installed inside.

@@k-nemo yes definitely, same as in your video? The mechanism can be close when i close the drawer but push cannot open? I have another drawer with the same mechanism but i do not dare to open it because i planned to return to the store.
@@keanweiho4914 I would try another one, if I were you. The mechanism can be faulty. Maybe check on the video again if you definitely assemble it right.
How do you adjust the drawers?
There is no regulation as such. Watch 1:46 & 2:08, you can a have a little possibility to adjust by moving metal parts with screws (a hole is slightly bigger than a screw). It won't be much, though, maybe a one or two millimetres

Are the besta slides fully extendable?
No, if you want to take them out you have to unblock white plastic locks, please check 4:48

Les guides de tiroirs peuvent être déplacés légèrement vers le haut ou vers le bas pendant le montage.

Ikea c'est très bien en en général jusqu'au moment où il faut ajouter des portes ou des tiroirs

@@k-nemo non les tiroirs étaient bien placés les portes aussi etc ...c'est vraiment leurs pré trous qui ne sont pas aux bons endroits ...heureusement que je suis bricoleur parce que une mamie Ginette elle aurait laissé ça comme ça la pauvre .c'est triste parce que c'est quand même pas donné .je vais d'ailleurs leur laisser un très mauvais avis sur leur qualité de meuble qui ne tiennent déjà pas d'équerre avec les escargots en plastique .
