We need more videos from you guys. If you need ideas for content, consider first doing setup run downs for exactly what mods a KB equipped car has and how much they make. *I really want a 3.6L or bigger on my gen2 Coyote '16GT on E85 but I don't want to give up my stock hood and I don't know how big is too big. I'm trying to start out at 800rw until I build the shortblock and then I want to be over 1k rw.
Recently had a KB installed. Like it a lot. Always considered them the best. Finding a good installer was a tad tricky. KB is lacking some advertising/marketing. All shops pushed Whipple or Procharger. Two great products but I wanted KB. I probably should have got the 3.6 LC, but went with the 2.9LC which seems to put out the same HP and torque as the 3.2. The quality of build is second to none and without some major additional ad-ons I think I am about as tuned as I can handle. Street/ auto cross car not a drag strip car. Although with different tires and rims could easily make a serious dragster.
Why doesn’t the kenne bell have the inlet elbow on it like the tvs does? Seems like they are stacking the odds in their favor with the intake tube running straight into the rear of the rotor pack like that.
Ehhh wrong. That happens from USER ERROR. not enough cooling, putting ice on the blower case after runs (does damage to front and rear bearings and seals) NOT changing the supercharger oil ever, etc. I have had my kenne bell 2.6 for over 10 years with 0 issues. Stop spreading biased fake news
Just the rotor rotor pack and the rotating mass is heavier and you have More heat with a twin screw heat is not your friend you start getting your intake air temperatures too high you start pulling timing so if you gotta make a pass back-to-back for some reason you can lose a 100 horse just in 30゚ temperature difference Where the TVS style 2650 Can make 3 runs back-to-back and not lose but a few horse Maybe 10 harsh power laws for the heat 15 maybe but But it also doesn't create as much heat furniture a smaller blower plus the weight difference
You might want to go watch the video that VMP released without cutting the video other than to change overhead units on the exact same day on the exact same car with the timing loft is closest variables as you can get and dine out the car allowing you to see the run in the laptop screen the entire time monitoring boost level timing and intake air temperature And the Kinny bell A pass wait a few minutes make another pass lost almost a big number of horsepower because of heat VMP2650TVS blower Same exact polls and timing in between polls Didn't lose as much power on the same timing same boost same car same day actually made more power and only lost a little bit of power in between heat because it didn't create as much plus the blower's lighter then they did the exact same test but they did 3 runs and the results were worse and I love any direct displacement supercharger But it's hard to argue the fact that a tvs blower Technology is there can have a smaller rotor pack which weighs less and less weight that your motor has to turn create under the same boost level same timing on the same motor a little bit more power and not have the heat soap that you do with the twin screw being over a leader bigger it's a hard argument Tat to win win the video I'm watching now is cut in and Can have things set in their favour
But I will give you that the twin screw does have a way better Sound. The wind of the twin screw blower is like no other but as far as power delivery and efficiency my hat goes to the VMP2650TVS blower Their video was uncut they show you all the data and the proof doesn't lie when it's an uncut video that gives you all the data not showing me some graphs a blower on a blower Dino could have different days could have different settings could have a lot of different variables but if you have all the tests run on the same day timing locked on the same con the same car same Throttle body size saying mass air flow size same everything on the same day and video is uncut and I can see all the data where the timing is locked Showing me the boost levels being the same Aint hiding anything with that when your video is cut and can't be modified because of the Dino you were using which a regular Dino could be modified as well but when the video shows you everything and it's uncut all at the same time other than the fact of when they change head units come on man time to stop with the line. Eton has a pattern on the TVS design It is a newer technology where both rotors match each other they don't rub the case and they don't rub each other the twin screw a lot of time has to have a gasket on the rotor because because the rotors rubbed each other and they also rubbed the case what does rubbing do create heatI just think you're trying to compare an old technology told technology to a new technology and by showing me some graphs not one constant video not showing me all the data upfront is very shady
Sorry Kenne Bell but your superchargers are trash!! I will never own one again, they leak out of the snout and don’t last me more than 1000 miles before I have to have them rebuilt!!
You're spreading biased fake news. This is NOT a common issue for mechanics who own kenne bell cars. You have to change the oil ok the blower every 15k, you have to have good cooling to keep the Temps down. You can't pit ice on the blower after runs etc. Stop spreading fake news
Sorry kenne bell your superchargers is the worst option from the other competition whipple and vmp your roots design is so so bad the been the same from the last 7 year's please learn from your competitor , they all improve them self but you don't even change a bit from the last several years !!
We a always improving our systems. We started out with a 1.5 and now we have a 4.9. We were the first to come out with the true cold air, the Mammoth inlet and complete systems. We do our own testing in house to optimize/ maximize our systems the first time you buy it so you don't have to upgrade a 6-months to year down the road when some new secret sauce comes out.

I really love the sound my kb 2v makes over my 2.65 coyote!
Definitely going kb on my hemi...
I love this guy
Why doesn’t the kenne bell have the inlet elbow on it like the tvs does? Seems like they are stacking the odds in their favor with the intake tube running straight into the rear of the rotor pack like that.
Or the same airflow. The KB was back door fed. The 2.3 TVS was elbow fed. And that direction of air will affect a lot of numbers and values
I loved my 2.3 kennebell on my lightning
I have a kennebelle with more than 100 thousand miles on it and she still makes 95% of original hp
I wish yall would make a supercharger for the ls4 in the grand prix gxp
Great video. Better information than vmp gives when they compared the 2.
Iam curious to know how much power can my KENNY BELL 2.8 make in my 2010 supersnake
I think this is a great commercial for Kenny bell!
When will there be a re design on the pulley snout?
BY THE WAY THE STOCK GT500 blower is the M_122
The 13-14 has a 2.3 and its a popular swap on the 11-12 GT500
Will my TVS leak oil from the snout....No
Can you please explain? I have a TVS now, and am considering going to a twin screw.
SELL keep your tvs.

VMP woke up the beast 🤣
I love my VMP TVS but this is what happened when you wake a sleeping giant. Now let's see some shop do a true comparison
if you use less gesturing, I bet more people would watch the video to the end. I had to stop it at the 5:14 min mark -- couldn't't take it any more!

Takes more hp to turn the tvs. And made multiple runs at the race track where my 3.6 kenne bell did much better than my tvs ever did. Cooler iats.
Every mechanic knows twin screws run cooler than turbos and roots style blowers
The TVS or VMP's make more instant torque but drop off before peak Rpm
KB paid Richard some good money for this vid, hopefully it'll help their sales!!
I just don't believe everything Richard says. He is a journalist not a mechanic.
Lmao you guys must be VMP fans who take up the butt lmao
It's also 30 pounds heavier than vmp 2650
17 pounds iirc. Go watch KB’s response to VMP’s claims.
Dum video
1600 hp with 4.9 KB
They have made 1300 now with just a 2650 VMP
And whipple is doing 1600 hp with just a 3.8 with 35 psi
