2:04....."So I go in noisy." Sometimes you can hear it in a person's voice when they are smiling. Michael Ironside was definitely smiling when he delivered that line, making Sam sound like a cheeky child, relishing the dark humor at going in noisy and causing absolute havoc haha!
I would make an argument that conviction did a nice job of wrapping things up but I wish the series ended there, or at least returned to form after that.
John Crusader yes thank god I found the splinter cell trilogy at GameStop. I feel like they should make a splinter cell movie and have George Clooney play as Sam fisher
John Crusader newer games isnt all bad... but atleast this franchise was never victim to microtransactions to my knowledge.. and not much dlc either iirc
"Dammit Fisher why did you kill the 2nd chef??? -I wanted eggs over easy - I don't know what to say... let me check my notes. Ah yes. THE MISSIONS OVER FISHER YOU'RE FINISHED!!!!"
It's not so much that Conviction or Blacklist play like action games. They were fun games and I enjoyed playing them. But the biggest indicator that SOMETHING is wrong is the dialogue. In 1-3, Sam had a sense of humor: he was dark, but also kinda sassy? Grimm and Lambert's interactions always had a back-and-forth to it, but always came with a sense of respect. It felt humanizing while you're doing inhuman things. I mean, you're the good guy, right? There had to be some moral justification as to why you're kidnapping a fat CIA analyst into the back of an unmarked van with a guy who's alarmingly knowledgeable about barbiturates. Lambert sort of represented Fisher's moral compass in that way. Then here comes Blacklist, and Sam's lines just, "RRR you're new and I don't like you", "RRR you're a teenager shut up and set up my wifi", "RRR shut up Grimm you're not my REAL mom." It's not that Blacklist plays like an action game, it also *feels* like an action *movie*. It's no longer Tom Clancy's Hunt for the Red October. It's John Wick, and I think we're all just kinda tired of it. I want a stealth game that's a little more interesting and true to form.
Lambert: Good Lord!! Fisher, NIkoladze caught us with our pants down!!! Sam: What do you mean, my pants are up... Lambert: Dammit Fisher!!! it's an expression... I remember when Tom Clancy games tried to be grounded. Last one that had this feeling, even if the gameplay didn't reflect it, was GR Wildlands. The gameplay was generic (albeit fun) but the dialogue and setting felt like old times. The Ghosts dry, grounded dialogue and the ops you ran felt pretty grounded even if the missions themselves were a bit out there. I don't remember any one member of the team from Wildlands except Nomad, but I sure do remember the squad. Speaking of Nomad, next to Sam, he easily has some of the best intimidating interrogation lines in a videogame.
You're probably the only one. Look, I love Dennis Haysbert on 24, but I liked Don Jordan's voice as Lambert more. He had small roles playing two different characters in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, too.
The Lambert in this video are not voiced by him. He voices Lambert in Pandora Tomorrow. But I appreciate the reference because that's my favorite series. Watched it over seven times!
Don Jordan was the voice actor in the first game, Chaos Theory, and Double Agent. Dennis Haysbert, the Allstate guy, was the voice in Pandora Tomorrow.

Bet he felt like a badass saying that
"NO WAY! THE MISSION'S OVER GET OUT OF THERE!"
he was ready to fight a platoon's worth of Chinese soldiers head-on just to complete his mission, you can't deny his balls

Splinter Cell died with Lambert

Concuerdo.
Blacklist was amazing.
@@christopherbucher7017 blacklist dod a fine job of that. You could be stealthy or loud.
@@storba3860 Blacklist was an alright game, but a bad Splinter Cell game. Both Conviction and Blacklist feels more like Uncharted or Assassins Creed
I think the sound tutorial is the only time Lambert compliments Sam for a good job
I always crack up when he tells me the mission is over hahaha.
Sam's sass clashing with Lambert's sharp commands and strange euphemisms were some of the best parts of Splinter Cell's story.
*Empties entire magazine on UNARMORED and unarmed civilian* Lambert loses his shit.
Only 9 rounds. There were 6 left.

It sounded like the voice actor had fun with that line, always laugh when I hear this one.

yea Joh Crusader, all could say PS1 grafix are not slick, tho the gameplay was mostly always awesome.

It IS true to form in terms of level design, it's basically Conviction's mechanics with the classic game's level design.
I wish the splinter cell games kept this format style gameplay, with lambert scorning you every step of the way
Can't sell it to todays shit audience.
My god fisher. That was pure madness.
i loved lambert so much that i keep forgetting that his only a video game character and not real. i wish he was real
I hope the upcoming Splinter Cell will get such kind of personality or at least pay a tribute to the Sam's character.
I think they will just take the original audio from the game. If not, I’m sure someone will mod it!
The almighty Lambert. It was not easy to kill him in Double Agent. The irony was that he called himself Wykes. Will miss Lambert.
You can shoot Jamie Washington tho, no need to kill Lambert, I didn’t
I miss Lambert :(

i miss lambert, new characters from blacklist sucks.
