the park board is a small board with wheels on the nose, tail, and a few more wheels in the middle to keep the board balance and allow the board to turn on edge slightly. The boards are made just for Woodward, so they are not for sale anywhere.
COME OPEN A WOODWARD IN CANADA! If one of these were near my place. I would quit my job and work here. This would be a dream come true. We got a snowboarding/skiing in the winter here, just need something like this in the summer haha!
Can we buy the skis yet? I mean they have existed for years now and I still can't buy them. For me that's an issue. Don't make it so exclusive. Some of us won't get the chance to come to your park but would love to use them. Just saying make them available please.
Actually you could just stay on one edge when going straight like on a real snowboard (to prevent catching an edge). This way you wouldn't need to carve for the ramps. You can also adjust how low the center wheels are to reduce the wobble. If you're about to do a rotation, most snowboarders carve up the jump in that direction anyway to help get their spin going.
yes, there are no wheels under foot so you can slide rails. Check out the dryland video in our channel. Pete slides a couple rails in the skatepark with them
stay tuned. that is the final part we are working on. When the video first begins you can see a big op[en space on the left (red truck parked in the building). That whole area will be the indoor skatepark, then we will also have several outdoor skate spots built beginning in June
at 2:28 you can see henrik harlaut on a board. Anoyone knows where to find that edit of all the stuff he's doing on the board? I once saw it, but can't find it on youtube anymore...
there are on wheels under foot, so you can slide rails some. However the intent is more for aerial training. Check out our channel, there is a dryland ski edit with a couple rail hits in it.
How do the boards turn? There's no trucks just wheels in line with the edges. If you're going straight won't they slow you down because they're facing the wrong way?
come check it out in person. We are now open for the Bunker season which means you can drop-in for a day session. check out www.woodwardtahoe.com for the details.
Free, unless you just want to hand me some cash cause you feel like it. hahah. The Grand Opening is free and open to the public. there will be skate and bmx sessions with limited numbers so get here early and get signed up. we will also have the outdoor mini for you to ride
we are offering 5 weeks of on-snow camp, lift accessed terrain park and the slope is easy to get to from lodging. at Woodward Tahoe you can use the park skis too, plus super tramp, foam pits, skatepark ect. Plus depending on where you live, the travel costs will probably be much less.
Oh I see what you mean. True- it is stupid. But the only time I actually care if someone does do it is if it's competative, they're "teaching" some else how to spin the same way, or if they're bragging about it. Personally I don't do it or encourage it because it's not proper form, but it wouldn't be a problem for most riders because it isn't a problem for most snowboarders. I've always seen none or very few people in snow terrain parks do this, so I don't think it would be an issue.
That doesn't matter. That's part of snowboarding and actually helps when learning new spins on the snow. The ability to land diagonally and "cheat" actually prevents you from wiping out if your landing isn't completely straight. And no one actually cares about it unless it's competitive.
You guys should just use Freeboards for the parkboards. They control A LOT more like a real snowboard on snow i.e. You can actually carve, go sideways, butter etc. It just doesn't seem to work by putting wheels on a snowboard.
I still think riding a mountain board on that might be better for training. It's much heavier, so when you switch to a snowboard, everything feels easy. Still a sick facility though. I love trampoline parks
we have Burton pressing the boards for us, then the wheels and hardware are added after. It's not really built for carving, but keeps you from "cheating" on your spins, so it's great training.
they have, a couple reversions since then We are also working with a local ski company to continue to improve. Tanner Hall and the inspired crew stopped by to try out these ski and were stoked on them.
Gorgeous park and tricks. Thank you!

the boards have a slight radius allowing them to turn. by no means are you craving but they are great for training.

correct. after April 14th we shut down and get ready for camp. During camp season we are open only for campers.
That doesn't matter. That's part of snowboarding and actually helps when learning new spins on the snow.

hi, can someone explain how this "snowboard" is made? or if there is any company that produces and sell it?
yeah that is true but when you go straight you will wobble
you would need to carve for the ramps
how is the parkboard made? and how it is when you are going to carv like a 360 on a snowboard?
How do you get over the big "Boreal" Black Barrel at 3:29? Nearly Physically impossible...
How did u make those skis! This place is awesome
