I don't think SC's level of opponents are anywhere comparable. Oklahoma is a name only. As a team, they're bottom tier in the SEC this year. Alabama is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Hard to really know with them. Ole Miss is kind of the same. LSU is the only "great" team this year that SC has played. That being said, SC is a good team too, with some consistency issues, but if they play at their upper limit, this is a good game.
Not sure you have to see a A&M win by 17 points to believe in that team. Playing at South Carolina at night, off of a bye, and when they’ve improved dramatically over the season is not cream puff team. Just winning alone, and being 6-0 in conference after beating what many claimed might be the 2nd best team in the conference in LSU should be enough evidence for you. The goal post movement is insane on the Aggies this year. UT with this exact record so far would be Top 5 in the country easily still.
I keep hearing how every defense is great each week against SC only to conclude SC’s defense is much better. This is like a twenty year kind of defense for this squad. It’s why they can just be so so on offense and crush OU and Kentucky on the road.
Magic number for A&M is 25. A&M has not given up more than 24 points in a game this year. Can the offense manufacture 25 points against a really good SC defense
South Carolina has proved they can hang with the big dawgs. The only blow out game of the season was ole miss. Refs took the lsu win from them, the quarterback ruined the Alabama game. South Carolina isn’t a joke and should be 6-1 I think A&M is going to have a lot tougher of a time than yall are saying. A&M has played two games with decent opponents. Notre dame who laid the smack down and played a good second half against lsu. They have had an absolute cupcake schedule. Cocks by 90
Note: Mike Elko has said he expects this to be their biggest challenge to date this season, as has Liucci. And I don't think that's typical pre-game talk. USC hasn't quite been able to seal the deal against the better teams they've faced. But will change at some point. Hopefully not this Saturday.
Lenoir sellers gonna be picking himself up from the dirt all night long when SC realizes that poor o line is about to run into the best D line it’s faced so far
@@coledavenport1223 my statement did not predict outcome of the game merely a fact that your o line is not good lol. Regardless of who wins, lenoir sellers will be under pressure and the margin will not be 90
😂😂 bro calm down y’all beat lsu. Good job. 👏 Now do it against South Carolinas dline. I promise you, that uscjr Dline is about to be all over reed my guy.
Didn't against Arkansas. And as the other guy just pointed out, no games against UGA, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, or Ole Miss thus far. I think they're still a good team, but the schedule is relevant.
Which SEC team has the most impressive resume then so far? I guess beating Arkansas and LSU isn’t respectable based on what yall are saying lol Arkansas beat Tennessee, LSU beat Ole Miss and Bama isn’t the same Nick Saban Bama team so let’s calm down on them
Aggies are a good team and they have won the games they were supposed to up to this point (which is of course big accomplishment). South Carolina may have been in a similar position if they played a little softer schedule their record alone is not telling you the story. South Carolina offense is very young they are due for a breakout game.
A&M had a has a softer schedule that South Carolina? Really? Sorry, dude. I ain't seeing it. A&M would have beaten the brakes off of Alabama and Ole Miss. A&M DID beat the brakes off of LSU.
@@richardstorm4603 "A&M had a has a softer schedule that South Carolina? Really?" Yes. In conference, absolutely. You're delusional on this whole "beating the brakes off" Alabama and Ole Miss. If A&M and Alabama played on a neutral field this Saturday, Bama would be favored. Ole Miss might actually, too.
You guys nailed this. Both Weigman and reed have done well only in the games where the other team wasn't prepared to face them. Even with his incredible performance Saturday, I don't have confidence that reed and this offense will put up more than 20 or so points against SC. A&M will have to win this game with its defense like it did against Arkansas.
LSU didn't lose to A&M because they were not prepared for Reed. That was part of it, but when it comes down to it, LSU couldn't run the ball better than a pee-wee football team, and when you can't do that, you will lose. The reason Reed was in a position to crush them is because they threw three interceptions in their own territory, and this is directly tied to the lack of a run game. When you need a crucial 3rd and 2 pickup and you're tossing it on a 50-50 ball because of coverage downfield, you have a problem. A competent running game would pick up that first down. Reed played an awesome game, but the A&M defense and LSU's incompetence at running teed him up.
My prediction is for SC to win - I bet against A&M last week (for my only miss this season) so you’d think I’ve learned my lesson but I am doubling down
They will start Reed, but if he struggles, then they will switch back to Conner. Should be a great game. South Carolina has a good team. They have played some good teams, and they have played great. A&M 33- South Carolina 28
SC beat Old Dominion, Akron and Kentucky only. Only good team SC beat is OU but OU is very bad this year. SC lost to SU, Alabama and Old Miss. You pick SC is non-sense
What am I missing on this matchup? A&M should have a significant pass rush and running defense advantage. Even if the offense under performs, it couldn’t be worse than SC’s offense right?
@@sclawmanA&M has generated a ton of pressure but not gotten as many sacks this year. Also A&M O-line has been good in pass protection while SC is one of the worst in the country.
Do not in any way, ever use 2024 Oklahoma as a comparison to 2024 A&M regarding on-field performance. You just have easily could have substituted the Akron game in that comparison. And if you somehow think this year's OU team does NOT harken back to the yesteryears of John Blake, you have no business claiming informed opinion. Honestly, the close losses to Bama and LSU are more relevant, and a bit concerning. Yes, A&M must not look past USC (to who, though, UNM???). But to use their dismantling of OU, before they made their QB change I might add, as relevant in anyway, apart from illustrating that that would be the closest thing they have to a "signature" victory this season, is just silly talk. Be better.
BRUH how are yall saying the same shit every week? I'm talking to the fans of schools that Texas A&M is scheduled to play. You ALL sound the same "Texas A&M better be ready" WE ALREADY PROVED WE ARE GOOD. YOUR FAV TEAM GOT/GETTING COOKED LMAO.
Said A&M is better at pressuring QBs they have 19 sacks to SCs 29 and I’d argue SC has played a more consistent level of high level opponents
