    It would be usefull if you could talk about two things here: 1. the legal aspects (because you would be the one throwing the first blow and hopefully the only one to throw) and 2. the psichological aspect: when a bigger person comes foreward as you described, the intimidation factor is huge. It might work for you (you are not intimidated because, in fact, even thow you might be the smaller one, you are an elite boxer, so you are way more dangerous than him). For someone with no experience, a thousand thoughts go through our head: "maybe I shouldn't throw because I won't be able to do damage, but I would provoke him more / give him real reason to attack me".

      Respectfully, do you really need to ask those questions? Obviously, if you throw the first punch, you’re at fault if you use excessive force, you’re at fault if you’re by yourself and everyone else lies on you, you will be prosecuted as being at fault. The best solution is to walk away from a fight if someone throw a punch Learn how to slide so it doesn’t contact you directly and then retaliate and run away. It’s all about the fence your ego. Forget if anyone says you were afraid you ran away protect your money protect your person. Forget your ego

      It's just not that simple! An aggressor can go from zero to blitzing you with frenzied punches in a fraction of a second. If, and only if there's enough distance, you could try yelling, 'Get back! Don't threaten me!' If there are witnesses. Anyone can be in the wrong at the wrong time. In my home town, there have been several people who died hitting the pavement in an unprovoked attack. And even the most streetwise can find themselves in the wrong place @ the wrong time. H.e., see my response to an earlier comment for a very similar, but perhaps less legally fraught strategy to Tony's.

      Geeze, buddy. While you're contemplating all that you're getting, your butt kicked with a one-way ticket to the ER. Let's see... The emergency room or the courtroom...I'll take my chances in the courtroom if it even goes there. In the state I live in, they have a " stand your ground law," which if you believe your life is at risk, anything up to and including deadly force is an option. Which is a good point...WATCH OUT FOR GUNS, KNIVES, 2X4's whatever especially from behind. 1. Escape, 2. evade, 3.fight. The solar plexus or liver punches are a great option. Back away scanning around 360, while they are on the ground, and while his buddies are in shock. Something else... surveillance cameras are most everywhere in public places, recording everything or people who whip out their cell phones. Chances are the whole thing is being recorded.
      Afterwards Tips: (If your still conscious). ....Calm down, be respectful, when talking to the police at the scene . Adrenaline will still be in your system. Scan around for witnesses to determine which are the guys friends vs.others ( this will be easy to determine). Lawyer up if it's headed that direction. Call someone you know from the scene while you still have your cell phone, in case you need bail money. ( Calling from county lockup can be problematic if arrested).

    Great video as usual. The last street fight I was almost in (about 5 years ago) I was able to avoid blows (against 3 guys) by following some of your tips. This was before your channel existed so I can say from personal experience that your advice really can work.
    Most important for me at the start of the altercation was making sure that the 2 "wingmen" couldn't flank me while the main guy squared off against me. Then taking a step back with my hands up but in a fighting position so that he couldn't surprise me. When he feinted I just took a slight step back so he was still out of range. I think he realized that I wasn't going to hit unless he really came in. He also saw that his yelling and feinting did not faze me, as I just kept focusing on his body and not his mouth. He called me some names and left. Yeah, it was not an "I knocked out the dickhead" ending, but it was also not an, "I had to spend the day explaining to the police why I knocked out dickhead and countering the lies the 3 of them surely would have told" ending. I'll take that result.
    BTW quibble: I think that last street fight between the kids was actually a liver shot, not a solar plexus punch.

  • @Jeffyboy-gb3mz
    @Jeffyboy-gb3mz 4 місяці тому +9

    I find that people who try and do big swinging punches can't actually hit. I was hit multiple times some years ago. I didn't defend myself, but the punches didn't knock me down. I made a very bad move (turned my back on him) and was told by a street fighter that I could've been badly hurt. Luckily, the guy didn't really know fighting. I've learnt since then, so hopefully I'd deal with it next time (if it happens) . Great video 👍🏻

    Lots of self-defence specialists use a similar strategy: using the upraised palms as if to show you don't want trouble. They tend to hit the jaw/base of the nose with a single or double palm heel. It looks less violent than a clenched fist on CCTV. A double palm strike in particular, can simply look like a forceful push to the face, rather than a strike.

    Tips:
    When you are in close range against your opponent, make sure to relax your arm and do a natural stance and not a fighting stance. After that, use your powerful hook by stepping your dominant leg backwards. Make sure to hit your opponent in their jaw because the jaw is the weakest thing for street fighters. I learned this from Valentyn Trostianchuk. You can go find his channel for Effective Boxing for Self Defense.

    It's simple. Smaller guys: Watch out with the ground game, they are good at it. Taller guys: Get in kissing distance, they can't do anything then. Thicc boys: Do not let them throw a punch at your face or you might be rocked. DISTANCE IS KEY WITH SMALLER GUYS AND THICC BOYS.

And I was on sandals on a super hot day but anyway I tried to help her and avoid a fight but the guy didn't like how I ended up helping her and he just flat out surprised me but I managed to step back and he thought he was gonna knock me out and my nose got bloody and when it was my turn I came back stepping in with like 4 or 5 straights and the black dude hit the floor with a hand and knee and I stepped up again and hit him super hard like 4 or 5 times behind the head wanting to kill him with my punches as I leaned down to hit him with all my body weight behind my punches and he just ended up flat on the burning hot floor face planted mate 😂 and I was gone but yea I just felt sorry for the white girl that was getting pushed forcefully into his car so I stepped up right and bear hugged the guy and lifted him from the road to the grass of the side walk and said to him "jest let her walk man she wants to be alone right now" and I was hoping that we could avoid the conflict but the guy damn near almost made me kill him after he cheap shotted me all of a sudden taking advantage of the element of surprise 😅 but I won't lie mate I was kinda rusty after a lil work related injury 🤕 but I still managed to score a tko or KO
