Thanks for making this clip, I was wondering how difficult these were to fit, I have 4 windows in my shed I want to do. 👍
You’re very welcome
Great video...looks like I have a new project!
Cheers. Nice, have fun
Thanks a lot.great video
No problem, thank you
Thank you
You’re welcome
Thank you awesome video. Sweet and short. Just a quick question would you need to lock it in the slightly ajar position. So I intend to lock my windows.only when they are shut closed
You’re very welcome. It’s not necessary to do that part if you only intend to lock closed. But for example in summer time you can leave the window slightly open but locked.
The other part of this for apartments is that due to the child safety bill 2013 for children under 13 the window cannot be opened fully by them and must lock to a maximum of 12.5cm on any window they could hurt themselves on
Yes great point.
Thanks for the video, just what I’ve been looking for, looks like we have very similar windows.
Can I please ask how big of a gap you have between your window sash and the upstand in the frame and how far you needed to pack out?
I have approx 10-11mm gap so I’m unsure if this lock would be suitable.
Thanks
Hi. My gap was around 10mm
@@projectlex thanks for getting back to me, did you only need the single 5mm packer?
@trenyboy01 yes only the 1 packer
Is there a reason you have to do it to a max of 7cm?
It’s in the instructions. Might have to do with child safety.
I have a window lock just like this and have pushed it in to lock it and now have missed placed they key! Any ideas instead of calling a locksmith?
Bummer, no sorry
@@projectlex thanks for taking the time to reply!
