Impostor syndrome is real bro. It is keeping me from applying to my first job nowadays. I feel you.

@@Throllfinn definitely just apply, as you’ll get feedback, which is really crucial

Just apply. When I applied to first few jobs, I got 3(probably 10-15 jobs I applied at that point) interviews. I didn't even know the basics back then. And guess what, I failed at all of them 😂. But one interviewer told me where was I lacking and what should I do to get the internships. Then after 6 months of learning and training I got my first real internship.

This is exactly for me. It's been a year since I started my coding journey, and I haven't applied to a single company because I'm working hard to improve my skills.and sometimes i scared what will i do if i fave new errors new thinga but now I'm making great progress now, alhamdulillah, and I am now a full stack developer.😊

Love the video, not a lot of engineers talk about the bad side of the job and daily struggle that we have to go through (deadlines, pressure, burnout), thank you for addressing this!

Finally, someone admitted that programming takes more than a year to master, not three or six months. I completed a year this month learning programming and I am still continuing.

One of my favourite articles is ‘how to learn programming in 10 years’. But narrative of patience and going deep doesn’t get traction unfortunately

The thing is nobody knows everything. One of the best engineers I worked with would be like "I don't know" if it was something he didn't have experience. Now he could have figured it out if he was asked to, but outside of the things he cared about he admitted it was a blind spot and didn't care. When you work you realize everyone has something they have no idea about. That's actually why someone w/ little experience can be valuable quickly. Go deep on a subject and it will put you ahead of 90% of very smart people who just haven't devoted the time to that area.

I live in Turkey, it seems difficult not to do an internship abroad, but if you have any advice for me, such as making my dream of working after graduation, I would like to hear

Tech jobs constantly change and evolve, and you get new roles/industries appearing all the time (cloud computing roles like SRE for example).
That can be frustrating, as you’re always learning, but it also means people who work in tech will adapt to change. But with more software and AI being integrated into our lives, there will be more opportunities too. Check out the ‘jobs of tomorrow’ by WEF for actual data on this

If you want to supplement React, in 24’ it’s better to focus on learning the DOM and vanilla Javascript. Other than working on legacy projects it’s not relevant (imo)
