Wow what a horse love watching your kindness and patience and knowledge. You should call him "eagle" coz of that flowing gait or "pirate" coz it looks like he's stole your heart ☺️

I’ve loved this guy since you went to get him he is stunning and spirited in all the right ways. He’s almost begging for your attention he wants to do it right and we know who can teach him all the right moves!!

He's sure looking good ( way better than he did when you picked him up!) and he's a nice mover! It's going to be fun to watch his progress. Will be a pretty nice saddle horse I think. I can picture him as a bridle horse in a few years! He would look good in traditional vaquero gear and/or as a working equitation horse! Have you thought about asking someone like Jaqueline (or Sid) Zacharias (or some other trainer with a lot of experience with Mustangs) for some insight? I suggest her because she also trains a lot of QHs. It would be neat to see a collaboration. I love it when trainers get together to help each other :)

Working equitation would be great! Matt would excel at that too as there are similarities with dressage and reining.
Working equitation would actually be something fun and different for those reining horses that are bored or just not Matt caliber super stars. Every horse Matt has trained could win the dressage portion. Be fun for the assistant trainers to do also with obstacles.
I've found obstacles are a fantastic thing to do with any horse. It's especially useful with horses that only have arena options

    Hi again MATT
Remembering back to that day you went to see him...
Showing promise and was good from the start.
To present how far you two have come!
Soo looking forward after much of the busy of this year settles you'll be back working with him and sharing the vids.
A beautiful story in the making with you two and you'll have your diamond and best buddy ever...
The move getting settled and filming along with training and some competitions has made quite a year for you! Raven is there waiting for you and thinking he'll become a welcomed relief and some no pressure fun for you that by now you could probably really enjoy.
Looking forward to tagging along with you once again but soo happy for all of the wonderful things that have come your way that you've made something very special.
Thx for sharing this Raven memory and will keep watching for you. Take care.

Matt you have a 170.00 diamond in the rough. I love how he moves, and how he responds to you. One thing about Mustangs is they pick you. Looking at his face and head, especially his nose, he looks like he has some Spanish blood in him. I mentioned this to you before. You may want to have a DNA done on him. You own a piece of American history, and heritage. Mustangs are smart, and are very loyal. I hope to see you and Raven more often. You and Raven will have a tight bond….🍀🇺🇸

I will say my husband always does just the hands only train wrapping his arm around there neck teaching them to lead, flex, and yield I kind of always thought it was dumb until it bit in the butt for not training my horses to be that way now I full hearted believe you need a horse to lead with just your arm. Though that was very cool to see you doing some training with that!

Call him Ulrich, from the movie A Knights Tale. He came from cheap side, and now he’s here to train with you at this multi-million dollar facility to become a “knight” 😂😂

The only difference that I’ve found starting mustangs vs domestics is just being mindful that their awareness and flight instincts are higher from having to survive in the wild. Once you gain their trust and bond it’s amazing. I currently have 2 that I absolutely love to death 😁

I don't think they've posted them just yet, as they've been busy going to big shows on top of moving to Texas, and most likely amongst other things as well. I'm sure in time they'll post all the footage and get us up to date 😊
