    I see comments saying this is just a drone blah blah ... all the subtle accents are placed perfectly drawing you into the drone. This is on Tangerine Dream levels ... be inspired folks the creator of this was :)

    Once I was immersed in this really great drone, I only just managed to get back into real life via an assertive b9...

    Try improvising in A Myxolydian (which is the same as D major, or B minor), it sounded the best

      Personally I love mixing up all the modes. They all sound good in their own right and if you mix them up you actually have control in dynamics way more. I can easily make the full 13 minutes sound interesting this way.

      I like throwing in an augmented 4th - the tritone. Creates a nice dissonance that begs for a resolve.

      Agreed mate. I’m using an Armenian duduk in G maj (plays well in A min) and it is perfect for this drone track. Loving it.

      chill out man it's just a drone in A , just play the right notes and it sounds ,it's of this world its just mathematics ,nothing spiritual about it

      thank you for sharing your opinion with me, i've could've considered you a humble fellow musician, a human being, but since you're just a talking living organism, just live cells glued together that can type,you can shut the fuck up and go away :)

      The music comes where words can not... I dont remember who say that, if you aren't in contact with your emotions you can't expres nothing, if you don't have music theory, you can't put it, you can't make it real, I hear music that come from the other cuntries and they make me feel how they feel there and they speak, German, japanese, norwegian etc. I can't say what the music is, but for me is Amazing, only enjoy and stop figth, we have ENOUGH of that in this moment around the world, sorry for my bad english brothers

    Any chance of releasing an extended version? I use it for meditation. I'm playing it at half speed to extend it but it sounds better at 1x speed. Anyway, thanks for posting. I have a very specific taste in meditation drones and this is exactly it

    We used this version to create 3 different tracks. First, "A Cosmic Moment", an instrumental: ua-cam.com/video/p00bK_jM7gU/v-deo.html
    Also, "Another Cosmic Moment", an alternate instrumental mix: ua-cam.com/video/P2v75Webpw0/v-deo.html
    We are using this video footage (with credits). Of course, we have thanked Alfred Potter for the great work. Gladly, he seems pleased to hear it.

      preston simmons holy crap i dont even care, jammed on the ol' regular melodic minor descending (A-B-C-D-E-F-G)
      i swear it did 'something' to me
      idek how i got here, the universe brought me to this track

      dude it's a drone, there is no key....

    • @martyisabeliever
      @martyisabeliever 9 років тому

      +preston simmons "A" as in pick "A" mode in the Key of "A"and hear its color against the drone tonic. (it is an A5 chord...A- mixolydian is a shoe in...) all 7 modes work with this drone. Mode study/recognition would be the primary reason to use a "pedal point"/drone in your practice sessions.
      Enjoy and Learn them Modes
      Thanks Alfred!

    • @waltzguy14151
      @waltzguy14151 6 років тому

      it's the root and the fifth, so A and E.. and it's a drone of those same two notes. So there is no key description necessary.
      Stop acting like you know about music.
      You butt.
