    ‘Vipra lipsa’ means jealousy.
Jealousy is a very great weakness for humans.
When one sees someone doing better, one can never be happy.
When one comes across a good person, one can never be satisfied with it.
There can be a medicine in this world for any type of disease, but not for jealousy.
When you see someone happy, be happy.
When you see other people spreading happiness, you also be happy.
    But do not develop jealousy.
Do not suffer from jealousy when you come across people who are better than you.
Even if you did not get good marks, feel happy when your brothers and friends get good marks.
    ‘Everyone is my brother.
Brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God.’
    Develop such sacred thoughts.
What is the reason for developing this jealousy?
    Selfishness. Selfishness. Selfishness.
In what form does selfishness exist in students?
When you board a bus, you come across women, children, and people who are old and who are sick.
You are in your youth, your body is strong, and you should say with a big heart that those weak people get a seat. But you don’t do it. You always seek the first seat on the bus. Jealousy is increasing because you do not care for others.
Give an opportunity first for the weaker people, the ladies and children.
If you get a seat, well it is ok, and if you don’t get it, walk a little distance, as it is good for you.
You get two benefits by this kind of walking a little distance.
By such walking, you get a kind of physical exercise.
And also you save the bus fare of that particular ride.
    Develop this kind of broad-mindedness.
After examinations are over, results are declared in the newspaper.
Lakhs of results and numbers are printed in three to four pages in the newspaper.
He is concerned only about his number.
When one opens a newspaper such as ‘The Hindu’, one sees so many numbers.
But when you see so many numbers how happy do you feel?
You should be overjoyed that so many people have passed.
But selfish people will never have that joy.
In the midst of so many numbers, you are looking for your own.
First, you must enjoy the success of all those who passed, then you can search for your number.
But people do not have such kind of broadmindedness.
Destroy in the very first instance, jealousy in you, dear students.
You are the very embodiments of pure love.
Vedas have declared, “You are the children of immortality.”
    So develop broad-mindedness.
Reduce the unsteadiness and increase the steadiness of the senses.
That will give you purity of the mind.
Then only will you be a human with the purity of Trikarnas, the 3 instruments of life.
If you want to remove the dirt that is accumulated in your mind and inner instruments, you must do good deeds, indulge in good thoughts, and speak good words. (Only then) you can remove dirt and purify your mind.
Do not see bad, see good.
Do not hear bad things, hear good things only.
    Develop such sacred feelings only.
There is only one thing that is important for purity (Chitta Shuddhi).
See no evil, see what is good.
Hear no evil, hear what is good.
Think no evil, think what is good.
Talk no evil, talk what is good.
Do no evil, do what is good.
This is the essence of the five elements, the five lives, and the five sensory organs.
When we develop this essence, we will get Chitta Suddhi (purity of mind), get wisdom, and can also enjoy Divine bliss.
