👉The site of the Miyama Battery is part of the Yura Fortress, which was built in the Meiji Era (1868-1912) along with the batteries in the Tomogashima and Yura areas of Awaji Island, and was a facility that played a role in defending Osaka Bay. Now incorporated into the Setonaikai National Park, it is a popular spot for tourists as a hiking course (nature trail) where history and nature can be experienced.
