WELL done sir, I am going to try this right away with a horse that doesnt want to be caught. I really enjoyed your presentation!

Building a horse’s Belief in you and about your seriousness and your persistence and, getting what you are requesting is, I think, one of the most important things Warwick emphasizes. Releasing too early and/or starting over b4 you get the response you are seeking (even if it is only a baby step) sends exactly the wrong message to the horse. It is the mistake I most often see at the many clinics i have attended. As Warwick has said, quitting the ask before you get the response you want is in fact lying to the horse.

My OTTB is much like the one in your clinic We have started with some Parelli games which have really helped. However, I still cannot get her to be still in the wash rack/tack stall. Can I use this approach in the confined space? I am guessing she will stop and face me but be outside the rack at that point. How do I manage that?

It sounds like you are at the beginning of your journey. the wash rack is a small sopace, and you will gradually work up to that, but first you'd want your horse really good in largere spaces.
