Every time I make an update video Shiro Games has to update things the next day if not sooner. Here's the updated patch notes that just hit: - Fixed infinite loading issue on older saves - Players with older saves have been facing huge amounts of enemies. This has been fixed and drastically reduced: it should now be working as intended. - Seasoned Fighters stat bonuses have been balanced according to the difficulty. - The majority of the player's skills damage have been increased: we should be halfway between the previous values and when we launched the update. Keep in mind that only some of the player's skills, deemed to be too powerful, were reduced and not all of them. - Spearwall skill effect has been restored to the way it was previous to the update : we understand you like the control this skill brings but the old cost of 1 VP made it overpowered, keeping the cost at 2 VP and not stopping Champions anymore should level its power. - Wolves' new skill now grants Deflection instead of Dodge. - Bandits' new passive now grants Fury instead of Dodge. - Animal stats (wolves, boars) have been decreased. - The new skills given to boars and wolves have been removed when facing a ghost pack. - Pony's capacity has been increased by +20. I'm excited for the full release version. Got about 200 hours on this game so far, but wanting to start over when the full release comes. Thanks for covering Wartales in such depth.
Most basic synergy is still there, but some tweaks and nerfs definitely hurt stuff. Pikemen have been nerfed quite a bit but I think they’re still an okay pick.
@@clydian No need to put points in constitution for example?I tested it and indeed it is much harder. But it's clear that before it was too easy after a while.
@@trueduke2515 I still don’t put points into constitution. Willpower as a stat has been capped at 15, so anything over that is wasted. Now it’s all about movement and crit until they fix stats.
This patch was to introduce new things and rebalance before launch. Bandits no longer have dodge unfortunately. As for ‘balanced’ I think them dodging one attack if you attack them with the same unit multiple times in a row is much better than simply giving enemies a stat increase.
@@clydian wouldn't agree on that one. For every bandit to have the dodge effect is just too op. If it's only for archers and hoodlums it's adjustable but for the whole team i don't think so. I'm saying this after 3 hours of fighting them for easy bounty. Tried everything. They even have reinforcements. All my squishy characters had no chance. Do keep in mind it was an easy bounty.
@@mangitsasubba3047 I don’t think the dodge was what made it OP. The dodge mechanic was bugged on implementation. They were only supposed to dodge one instance of damage. It was a step in the right direction to try and make combat more difficult and flavorful besides increasing stats astronomically. I’d rather them have that dodge mechanic than the one merchants have. Merchants are a pain in the ass to kill with small party sizes.

Miss chance on bandits after 2 hits is very bad. How is that balanced?

It increases attack of opportunity damage!
