The breaking hinges on the wings is a pretty common thing with the original MP-03 Starscream mold. So anyone fearing their copy breaking may want to shave down the edges of the hinge piece before transforming their copy of the toy.

Yes, I had that happen with my Takara MP Starscream when I first transformed it out of the box. :-(
I didn't so much shave mine down, I wedged a small penknife in and wiggled it side to side to free it up :)
Interesting, this may in fact also improve the connection for my Yes Model toys where the wing doesn't hold onto the back well, but partially due to tension created in this joint due to the poor tolerance.
As for the response to the better head, I put the yesmodel head on my kbb and it's kind of a shade darker but I think it works, try it@Benscollectables
The way the wings are orientated makes it look like windblade
just got mine. nothing broke, nothing was too tight. the paint on the head and face is a nightmare. he looks better in plane mode. my other seekers are all KO but i find this guy is built better.

Thanks for the great review Ben - wish I'd seen this before attempting to transform mine - right wing hinge broke completely & the other cracked, & left shoulder hinge came apart like butter - managed to get him back to jet & wedge broken bits in place, heartbreaking - hoping to-direct might be able to sort something
I wished that Takara had the option of flippin' those wings up.
after seeing your issue with the break. i opened my up for christmas..... the hinges had super glue residue on the hinges.. i got the left one free unbroken but the other after an hour of messing with it. It ended up snapping but i could see the hinge had been fused with excessive glue.
I wouldn't worry about the YES Model too much. My MP-32 took almost a month to get here.

Aside from the minor fault in the vid, it's an amazing figure if you prefer these colours and can't neccessary get hold of the igear ones
Simple fix, using a think blade
Would like to see the Yes version compared to the other two. I like the colors on this, just wish a couple parts were swapped between the two figures. I like the wings sitting low also, in robot mode.
Ben.. Happy New Year. If its possible (this is a super stretch) would you be able to plant a kind seed into someone about one last possible starscream.. Yes I know (why another starscream of all the seeker that are left)..including the rainmakers.. BUT I think we would all agree that we need well I do at least a GHOST StarScream.. clear version. your thoughts and again if you agree then if possible plant the seed.. would love to see it with the improvements and price-point. Thanks! huge fan KO review King for 2017, you got my vote Pal!
The G1 toy was also grey in those bits, not black.
Is the robot height same as the oversized starscream?

Wow, there's a lot of differences in the molding of some of the parts. If the yes model has differences in the visual mold as well, then I wonder if there will be a version 2 of this guy that will copy the real MP Thrus more.
I did a review on BB7. And from this video that's the best KO option for thrust. Just saying

I just started using TFdirect and my first purchase hasn't arrived. It's been 15 days and the tracking says it can't left China. Tried contacting them but the website isn't working. Weird!
I have custom my Kbb Thrust.
1 good color, same G1 toy.
2 Middle wings, not up.
3 stickers G1 toy.
Now he is awesome because the kbb version is not good.

Sorry to see it break. It looks like a mixture of iGear Attack and some of the new MP-11NT. A definite pass for me. I'm in for the YES Model version (couldn't stand the big fat head of MP-11NT Thrust).
With the colors on him, kinda getting a Deadpool feel off of it.

I wish that this was just a ko of the Takara thrust because he's just to expensive on eBay, but I mean really 300 dollars what have we become😔
Its times like this that i appreciate heroes like ben who willingly thread uncharted waters and shares his findings. kkb should have done more homework before churning out this futile effort. no doubt it is commendable that they are attempting to emulate mp seekers. but how i wish that there is a way that they can share their model's blueprint with fans/reviewers for some tweaking prior to production and save us the disappointment.
tohneyteoh Not totally KBB's fault per se; they went with the iGear conehead design (and all the iGear Seekers were a modified MP03 mold, and came out long before the MP11 mold). They should've did more research or just went with the Takara conehead designs.
they are just copying someone else's homework, what is so difficult in improving it. lucky i got the yes-model version.
I watched this video to see what the quality might be for their Dirge, and then saw what happened with the wings! Pass. Hope things are improving with your medical concerns, Ben.

this is a pretty awful replacement for the TT version.
i say we need to see YM first. truthfully if we give it enough time there will be a KO of the actual TT mold. Hell it has happened with nearly every TT model since MP10
Wish I'd watched this before buying it... still, for 17GBP I suppose his jet mode will do. Awful bot mode!
