- Just when we thought they had given us their most candid episode yet , Caiah and Mpho let us in on how their relationships with their fathers have impacted their relationships , and their choice of intimacy.
The podcast episode is thoughtfully divided into four distinct sections. Firstly, the hosts provide a personal life update, and this week’s one is quite exciting ! The ladies are both in budding relationships , and they share a little about their love lives - coupled with a few laughs of course.
Moving into the second segment, Caiah and Mpho discuss Intimacy : what it is to them , the different forms of intimacy, and how they practice intimacy with their loved ones.
The third segment takes a playful turn with a “Quick Maths” game where Caiah tests Mpho’s mathematical skills with a few moderately difficult questions, and she has to answer as quickly as possible.
The focal point of today's discussion centers on Daddy Issues : initially understood as “The Father Complex” , the ladies zero in on what Daddy issues actually are from a research point of view , coupled with their personal experiences. They invite their audience to introspect as usual , while they come to some realisations of their own.

I tried my best to mend a relationship with my dad for years and he showed no interest. I am so grateful for that process because I tried until I was satisfied with my efforts. I went to therapy, accepted that it is what it is and I started having better relationships.

I realized a lot of my daddy issues based on my one relationship where by the guy was toxic and abusive in an emotional way, I stayed with him for 4 years and he didn’t want a title and he would be controlling and use my daddy issues as a tool to keep me around when I felt I deserved better and more and growing up with a father who was a cheater made me condone it in my relationship but when I finally realized that I had lost myself that’s when I things changed because when he would cheat and make me feel less of my self I would be suicidal sometimes cut myself and when I said enough is enough was when I tried taking my life because he just broke up with me in public with no reason. I made him my everything to a point that my own life didn’t matter but after that I took time to find myself again and find god and I even cut my hair because he always wanted me with long hair so I changed a lot about myself to just find peace and that lead to me finding help from god because in that relationship he drove me far from god and made it seem I was the toxic one because I came from a toxic environment but that doesn’t justify the damage he did to me but it also helped me work on my daddy issues with my dad and god and now I’m just in a better place spiritually and emotionally and in a very healthy relationship with my current partner. But honestly healing from daddy issues takes time and needed a person to self reflect and pray

I love the fact that you both are happy in your romantic relationships and I hope each of you are in a relationship with the person that God wants for you, but if NOT I pray God ends that relationship. It's better to have a broken relationship than a broken marriage/family.

Your life wont be easy or normal. So these ladies i see their challenges already, they are being distracted by relationships. And the devil uses that as his best tool to keep you impure. And you'll be rounding in cycles in 1 place.
I think overextending yourself to your partner is also one of the Daddy issues because you sort-of don't know where to stop and you don't know what a man does in a healthy balanced relationship or suppose to do.

I don’t think I ever thought I had daddy issues bc my father is and has always been in my life but the emotional intimacy isn’t there and I lowkey used to be fearful of him bc I used to get disciplined growing up… but I guess as am getting older I can try to be more emotionally available … but at the same time I want him to open up that door, and then maybe I’ll get comfy? 😂😂 God has been a phenomenal father tho, as always
God is still good girlies but trust me on the vengeance part, God knows His people's weakest point. The things you think might be the people's weak points might turn out not to be their weakest point and you therefore do not see when God is avenging on a different aspect then what you are expecting. He never fails and He is a God of justice. Just trust him and keep on doing your things
