- #organizeabletonmusicfiles Super crucial info on how to keep your files organized in Ableton Live. Especially since we are starting a new year I thought it was fitting. I hope this helps you avoid having a giant mess of random project files all over the place.
Make sure you first create an Ableton Project Folder for whatever year it is. Then save your entire project folder in there. When you create a new song, Make sure to save it in your yearly project folder NOT in the Live set folder from the previous song. Good Luck!

I actually need help with Ableton since it's on PC, windows 11, and I use a MiniLab3 to make my own ambient music. Any suggestions?
Always happy to help! for ambient music I would say study sound design and chord theory.
Also, Omnisphere is a bit pricey but worth it for amazing Chord and Pad patches

@@Plagued4Life also check out "Khords" by loopmasters, that one is also really good for ambient stuff

Thank you for the video first of all. One thing I wish I knew what to do was I consistently saved songs under my first project. Doing so made everything u organized and now all my songs when I moved them into a new folder say they are missing samples.
brooo that's Exact;y why I made this. It's so weird why Ableton does that. sorry to hear that your projects lost some samples tho :/
Just curious... Why wouldn't you Keep the Mixdown and the Master folder in the Project folder, in order to keep everything about the Song in one place? Thx..... ElectricEddie
I'm sure that would also work, i just like to keep them in my shortcuts side bar to have all my songs from the year in one place for quick access. btw thanks for watching!
re saving versions...doesnt ableton save backup versions automatically?
Ableton auto-saves but I like to have different version of my project. sometimes you like a previous version or mix so then you can go back to it😎🎶
