Michael J Sullivan sells his books on his own website if you’re looking to pick up more from the series. I know because I had to own them all after the first one.
Hey Regan! If you happen to love Fairy Tale, I recommend The Talisman. They both have similar vibes and King wrote it with Peter Straub. They’re my favorite writing duo!
I also picked WHITE HORSE (and MEXICAN GOTHIC) as my BOTM reads! Super intrigued by the MOTHER OF LEARNING premise from your description, so I bought the ebook! I love time loop stories! FAIRY TALE also sounds really good! I might have to get it!
Hey Regan! I never heard the pronouciation of "Odysseus" that you used in this video before! I do not have a strong history or classics background so I have no room to comment on the historical accuracy of it, but I found it charming nonetheless! I love hearing different variations in the pronunciation of words/names found in books! (my mother always told me to never negatviely comment on how someone pronounces a word because it means they likely came across it while reading, which should be encouraged!!)
@@WickedScorpio I have pronounced Oh-Di-SEE-Us. But, at a few points in the video I thought I heard Regan pronounce it "Oh-Di-SAY-Us" I might have just been hearing things though!
I would HIGHLY recommend 11/22/63 by King. Not horror at all, it's alternative history where a man goes back in time to try to prevent the assassination of JFK. It's one of my all time favorite books
Hopefully, I can manage to find some of these books second hand. There is something magical with buying books second hand. Also, you never know what you can find in a second hand book when it comes to bookmarks or old notes!
I definitely second the Dark Tower series and 11-22-63 by Stephen King, and also The Eyes of the Dragon. When I was much younger, The Eyes of the Dragon was such a refreshing change from the way King usually writes. I have not yet read fairy tale, but am looking forward to it. 📚 💕
I joined Book of the Month just to pick up The White Horse as my very first choice. I'm so excited to read it and I know I can always count on you for great recommendations!
If you enjoy audiobooks…Michael j sullivan books are amazing on audible…the narrator is great…my second favorite only to the narrator of Joe Abercrombies book 😊
One of the authors of a Mark of Kings (Bryce O’Connor) wrote a series called Child of the Daystar which is one of my absolute favourite series and I highly recommend checking it out. Mark of Kings is good but in my opinion is nothing on Child of the Daystar! The premise of Child of the Daystar sounds a little odd but once I started reading it I fell in love
Dear Regan. The Black Tower series by Stephen King is a powerful masterpiece, and I am sure you would love that series. Many kind reading-regards - Hanne from Denmark
Best served cold is really great I hope you will enjoy it Fairytale is really good you also should check out Dolores Claiborne and billy summers because neither one are scary
Hi! You've convinced me to give Age of Myth a chance. It's popped up enough times on your channel for me to be like: "Hmmm... let's check it out." I've never read anything within the fantasy genre, so we'll see how it goes. (:
Me too, but I have and do read urban fantasy (our world, different characters like fae, werewolves, vamps, etc. ) I'm going to Michael J Sullivan's site to order.
@@surpriseitsus9622 I just finished the reading Age of the Myth. 5/5 Star for me. Loved it! Already have a copy of Age of the Swords. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did (granted, this was my first fantasy read, so I might not know any better. Lol).
@@samshrew You're welcome!! I loved all of them but slogged thru Liveship Traders trilogy...almost DNF'ed them multiple times. but books are subjective. happy reading to you!
Hey Regan ! (and audience) if you're going to read Juniper & Thorn, just a reminder to please look up all the trigger warnings because it does not hold any punches when it comes to trauma and abuse.

If you buy them directly, every copy is signed!

Did you enjoy the sequel to the talisman black house
Loved The Talisman and the sequel, Black...something?? That was a long time ago
Some books I picked up recently on BOTM are Kaiyeki, Legendborn and Bloodmarked!

( I am very much looking forward to reading)
There seem to be more Fantasy book tubes in the states. There are so many other Genres to read.
If you enjoy audiobooks…Michael j sullivan books are amazing on audible…the narrator is great…my second favorite only to the narrator of Joe Abercrombies book 😊
Just a heads-up that the Abercrombie book you hauled is one of his three stand-alones in the First Law universe, not a new series :)
I just finished Fairy Tale - and LOVED it! Can't wait to hear what you think. I'm also almost done with The Wilderwomen, and am loving it, too.

I may have added a few more books to my TBR!
Fairytale is AMAZING. Definitely the Stephen King to read if you don’t like horror. Much more fantasy than scary.
Yay, Stephen King :D I`m on my Stephen king binge, reading as much as possible from him right now. Fairy Tale is my next read. I hope you like it.
White Horse and Wilder Women were my 2 BOTM picks too😊❤️
Claire North has a book called Notes from the Burning Age which is really good as well. I liked Ithaca too.
Cant wait to hear your review of the Stephen King and Juniper and Thorn!
You will LOVE Fairy Tale. It is so good!
Love your sweater! And the lamp ✨ I really need to read some Joe Abercrombie!
your videos are so comforting
Im going to order a few of these . 2023 is the year of less book buying and reading what I have… hopefully..thats the goal 😬😬
Where can we BUY the limited edition version of THE SWORD OF KAIGAN. i want the limited edition one.
Absolutely LOVED Fairy Tale!!
Fairy Tale is just epic!
Have you ever read bloodlines by Peter Hartog? It’s a really good murder mystery fantasy book!
Oooo i wonder if “beers at the White Horse” means its an Austin-based story?! 🤔💜
Best served cold is really great I hope you will enjoy it
Fairytale is really good you also should check out Dolores Claiborne and billy summers because neither one are scary
Sleeping Beauties is good too and not scary.
@@audreyhertz301 I really enjoyed that book
Unrelated and idk if that lamp has always been there but I love it. It looks 2D lol
So many gorgeous books! I think I need Ithaca in my life!
Just finished Onmyoji and the Tengu Eyes vol 1, and my order of Empire of Exiles by Erin M Evans should arrive tomorrow.
Fairy Tale is wonderful!!!! What is in the shed??? 😮😮
What indeed? 👀 It was such a good book.
Holy the copy of A Mark of Kings is gorgeous

Did you end up reading the 2nd Strange the Dreamer book? I just finished it and I want to know your thoughts!!
Thank you!!
I am not a King fan but this book got me. We are two thirds done. So 👍
Okay so win the haul with the prettiest covers! 👏🏻😂
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT BOOK SERIES IS THE SUPER LONG WHITE SPINED ONE ON YOUR LEFT!! It looks so good and I cant remember the name 😭
they look like the uk editions of brandon sanderson books, the mistborn trilogy and some others! maybe elantris (a stand alone)
Between Regan and her lamp (her left, our right) are the Robin Hobb series.
@@gossamerabba thank you so much 😊

I’m on the last arc of Mother of Learning. You’re in for a ride!
I will say, Fairy Tale takes a good minute but once you get past all of the begging slosh, you will find a very interesting world

Is the way Regan says Odysseus the correct pronunciation?
It is "oh-di-see-us"
Omg I want all this books 🫣😬
