Hello Christen! Just met you today and I love your enthusiasm for quilting and your lovely work! And that you spell your name with a “C”! I’ll definitely see you again.
Absolutely loved your trunk show! I like how you use the variegated thread for quilting. I'm fairly new to quilting only about 3 years. My only problem is when I start a quilt I just want to get in there and quilt quilt quilt until it's done. It's a little bit of my OCD. The next time I make a quilt I am going to slow down enjoy the process. I love how you pieced your backings when you didn't have enough matching material.
Thank you, Christen! This was fun! I know what you mean about last-minute quilting! My friend's daughter is having a baby shower June 3 -- have I started yet? NO! Haha! Doing a bear paw so that's fairly easy but still! Loved all your quilts!! I'm gonna make a ladder!
Your quilts are beautiful! I had to laugh when you shared the story about the yellow binding not fitting all the way around the quilt. I think you made a wise decision to finish it up with a different color -- a very great design element :) I would not have ever ripped out all that yellow and started over. It does actually look like it was a part of the overall design process. I think all quilters have improvised under similar circumstances! Looking forward to more videos and inspiration!
Love your channel, especially this one. I have a habit of finishing tops and then nothing, unless I send it out to be quilted. I used to complete the quilts until someone told me I could pay someone to quilt it for me. I don’t mind doing hand or machine binding. It’s just that darn machine quilting. Not too good on the computer either. But thank you for inspiring me (even though I could be you mom or grandmother.) I promise to keep you updated. Thx

@@ISeeStarsQuilting I did enjoy seeing the quilts you've made - and kept - but something that really hit home for me was the sizes. This has been rolling around in my head ever since I watched your video. The quilts you showed were not all these big quilts intended to cover a bed. Some of them were fairly small, lap or throw size, and seemed to be just perfect. I still consider myself to be a new quilter and I have to admit that I've been a little overwhelmed by the larger sizes the ladies in my quilting group show and talk about.
