After the playoffs last year, we kicked him off the train.
Brou rides both sides of the fence. He is similar to many analysts who give two opposing takes, waits to see what happens and then claims victory no matter what happened. For example last year, like many Purdy bandwagoners, they want to both claim that Purdy is the next Drew Brees but then refuse to commit to whether Purdy is going to win the SB or conference championship this year. while Nick was literally saying the Chiefs would win the 23-24 Super Bowl since last off season.
Before Brou was even a regular on the show when Nick was doing the show with Cris Carter during Mahomes first season when he was on the bench, Nick already was confidently stating that Mahomes was going to win multiple super bowls for the franchise.
Because Nick hasn’t had an original, and correct, idea in his career?

Nick is being too sensitive. The big reason the Vegas odds are this way is because of the 3-peat. If the Chiefs won last year but not the year before, they’d be the favorites. But Vegas is rolling with history that a 3-peat ain’t happening.

Brock Purdy was 19/24 for 252 yards and a TD before his concussion in the 4th in Minnesota. He did not “play terribly”. And Cousins absolutely was dealing in the game completing 78% for 380 yards. Nick doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Also the Wk18 game against the Rams was backups.
I forgot about that sh&t take of his. Cousins played out of his mind and the Niners D coordinator called a zero blitz just before halftime leading to a TD by Addison. Nick sucks

The concussion is a bs excuse. Purdy himself said he didn’t notice any symptoms until after the game, and they have independent doctors who would have pulled him off the field if he was showing symptoms. The concussion also doesn’t explain why he played badly against the Browns, Vikings, Ravens, and every team they played in the playoffs. The common thread isn’t Purdy getting concussions, the common thread is Purdy playing badly anytime it’s raining, anytime they’re missing some guys, or anytime they’re playing a good team. Also you forgot to mention the 2 INTs Purdy threw against the Vikings, which makes his 1 TD look even less impressive.

@daxgotfacts Not liking Purdy is one thing. Nick systematically goes out of his way to diminish and disrespect Purdy. That's different. That takes a special intent.
It's also reinforced by the fact that Nick always goes to great lengths to defend his own picks, and the Chiefs, who are not a pick per se but rather the team he's always rooted for, which makes him a rather uninteresting fanboy when it comes to them.
Of course it would be stupid to pretend that Purdy is at the level of the league's best QBs, but he's definitely way better than his draft rank suggested. It doesn't hurt to give a guy his props when he plays genuinely well, but Nick is unable of doing that, and while amusing at first, it's now become mostly annoying.

They aren't beating the Rams, 49ers and I doubt Indy. And the bears will be bears and lose stupid games they should win. They'll end up 7-10 again with another top ten pick.

I disagree. Fields had Moore, Mooney, Kmet and a very solid D and did little, particularly early in the season when the games mattered. If Caleb is just able to get the layups that Fields missed, their offense will be top 15.

I think you’re missing the point. CW can be a game manager THIS YEAR. As a rookie. Because the offense is so stacked. With KA, Moore, Odunze, Kmet, Swift, Herbert, Everett, and a solid Oline, he can be Baker and still have the offense be top 15 this year. Next year when KA is likely gone and he isn’t a rookie anymore, he has to show out. But the Bears have put enough around him this year for him not to have to be Superman out the gate. He can be Clark Kent and the offense will be good enough to be in the playoffs. Not to mention a likely top 10 defense on the other side of the ball. Caleb doesn’t need to be elite this year. He just needs to make the right plays and be special when need be.
Ravens got the Chiefs, Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals in 4 out of their first 5 games and Nick is out here complaining that the Chiefs got an early bye..

Every time we get a football segment, I'm just amazed by the premonitions that Brou has. As a Packers fan I've been watching the Bears get hyped up every offseason and fall flat. I'll be happy for them if Caleb works out, but I'm not going to think they are playoff contenders until they prove it.
