Course owners should take note. These guys are thinking through the lens of a player and a fan. Too many only focus on one or the other. Well done folks. I'm excited to watch!
Yall are really stepping it up! Maybe it worked to call out all the players and event runners to do interviews! Really adding story lines to the game helps so much! Good videos lately! This is the kinda content that sticks around for real!
I don't normally like changes but these are good changes. The fan experience needs to be one of the top priorities, that is what disc golf is about, the fan. I've begun to notice there are certain pro's who complain about everything. Makes me root against them. Seems they complain about the things that make the course more difficult.
If it gets windy its gonna be must see haha! 100% agree with the Course designer and like to see man made stuff like that! Ive always thought some sorta curved wall built to throw into and have it roll around a corner! Some ramp obstacles wld be cool near the baskets but not sure how u wld do that. Another thing I think wld be cool is a pretty wide double mando was split in half and have one side help or go an easier way and the other side maybe have another wall or tighter fairway that cld make the hole harder! Wld be hard to play but fun to watch!
Personally, I like the changes. Who chose 'nostalgic' red for hole 1? Go with a vibrant color. Watermelon, melon, coral, aqua, etc. You can see an 'old' Coca Cola or an open barn door (early 1900s) from the tee!
I wish they would have areas on the fairways like Hole 1 where an amateur can land a tee shot about 250-300 feet from the pad, before the pond so that they can have a shot at Par, instead of requiring everybody to have to throw 400+ feet off the tee all the time
I mean, Maple Hill has a dozen layouts, so they do have this. For example if you only have 250-300ft of power, you play Diamonds (the FPO layout), and you lay up left of the pond and can still save par.
@@chrispreperato5562 OK...thank you for that. I wish every amateur player out there that watches DGN could compete on all the tour courses just so they could have a chance at ending up at even-par for each round or even better.
Did you guys see Antilla get grabbed by that Vendor/Staff? I was Stat keeping for the card and Nikklas was upset about it for a couple holes after. They are going to add more ropes around the DZ apparently. It was bad.
If I was a spectator there just behind the basket, I'd take a target, and stand directly behind the basket holding it up. Unless it's a player I didn't like, then I'd hold it up 7 feet away.
This is the type of thought and work put into a pro tour stop, when a course keeps improving you know they are thinking about the players and the fans, great to see! Plus when they arent scared to change anything they can always change or fix things and adding stuff is always interesting at the least! I liked the addias coirse in vegas at first but its kinda getting stale now.
Just saw all the changes in person today. Love them all! But yeah I can't stand by the rock wall on 6, it feels wrong to me standing there. (put a rope 4-5 feet from it) Also the corner to the green on 17... I feel like a decent up shot could hit me in the face and if it didn't it could be parked. (didn't walk over there today, speaking from last year watching Matty O dime that putt!) 7 is a win win for spectators and players. The slight early release on old 7 would kick off a tree out to the pond, I've done it and it was my worst feeling shot ever. lol Someone stick a rock in that one low gap in the wall on 14, haha! No drive is sneaking through there so no roll away should. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone!
I was at the skins match and got to watch everyone practice, it was sweet, for hole 6 they definitely could do a little more. But the course is beautiful and just keeps getting better
Attended mvp for the first time this year and I have no complaints over the crowd control, keeping spectators out of the line of play, and how the event was run. It will be the standard upon which all other events will be judged. Sorry/not sorry
How TF is the defending MVP Open champ, Matty O, not on lead card? That's just disrespectful. The top 8 place player thing is fine, but you gotta drop number 8 and put the freakin' defending champ on lead card like every other damn big event.
Love the channel but I’m reluctant to subscribe. I’m interested in everyone disc golf and more than likely to watch your videos, but you paint the sport as such a negative atmosphere with narcissistic people playing the game professionally. You don’t need to title every video “big controversy at…” or “drama at ____” Maybe it’s just my opinion, but I think you two are too entertaining, informative and accurate to resort to clickbait tactics.
We know it sucks to have it say “drama” instead of “recap” in the titles but from 3 years of UA-cam it’s just how the algorithm works. Maybe one day someone will pay us so the extra $10 isn’t a big deal but gas is expensive for the van while we travel to each stop bringing our coverage. Thanks for watching tho, glad you enjoy!
Here is my hot take on MH, this is suppossed the #1 course yadda yadda yadda, why does it look like sht? Im sure the course makes money since everyone creams all over it all the time, but damn. Same with NWs black why neither look amazing during the tour stop is unacceptable IMO, but apparently not a concern for the tour or viewers.
Go play it my dude. Astetics are secondary to me personally although I think both courses are beautiful. But the level of play you have to lay down at either course is hella. They play very hard but fair.

Probably one of the best vids Ive seen from you fellars. Keep growing the channel, Ill be a lifetime subscriber nonetheless. Appreciate You
I think it’s a total upgrade to an awesome course
I completely agree! All the changes are good in my opinion. I haven't played Maple Hill though, so it's highly subjective in my case.

Great editing work, very smooth transitions.
Big fan of the outro for this episode 😂
Keep it up! Best go to, up to date disc golf news. Thanks for what you do
As a spectator, I really like the changes
Can we have a 2 camera live stream in the future. One on the tee pad and one on the basket? I'd watch more of this if I can see the full shot.
Future of Pro disc golf could be specifying the type of throw of the tee shot.
Been really enjoying your content, fairly new subscriber. Keep up the good work!
I give credit to course manager, these changes seem good for both fans and players
Tbh a lot of good changes that will likely increase fan interest.
Mom, wake up. Disc Golf Drama uploaded another video.
I played bad rock creek gold today, Kansas City strong !!!
They have a triple mandatory

They're farther from the basket than NBA crowds are from the players. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@trev3971 well in NBA the ball is still out when it bounces off a fan and comes back onto the court.
My Email exchange with Steve earlier this season showed me he doesn't waste time thinking before doing or saying things.
@ The Disc Golf World, I have to ask, why do you always have the Paul "will it in there" clip on your videos?
Probably a requirement from DGPT/DGN in order to use their footage.
@4:10 why did you show a clip and then explain the EXACT SAME THING

Dope
Miller Sandra Moore Jennifer Clark Richard
the unique obstacles we have on courses is why golf will always be boring in comparison
I get I'm just giving you more engagement with this comment, but the "controversies" and "drama" in every video is embarrassing

Because playoff events have actual lead cards, not feature cards. It's the top 4 in tour standings.

Steve dodge carries himself like a stranger you would punch in the face after a short confrontation.
Get the guy with the glasses out of disc golf

What do you mean? It looks great. Of course right now it’s underwater and there’s a cat 3 hurricane making landfall, but come on lol
You have to go and play it. It will make sense when you're there

You can't just say it looks like shit and not explain why.
For some reason, i'm thinking it's gonna be a Kyle Klein win 🏆
solid choice, but can he fend off McBeast and Buhr? Ricky seems like he wants it too, I hope Ricky wins.
