the lower the air pressure the better the traction, the tire flattens out and makes a bigger foot print. thus the reason for having beadlock wheels on these trucks. u can 0psi with beadlocks. and damn those trees have like no roots, iv never seen trees fall so easy before.
@JUNKYARDDOGK5 Private property, on trails that are rarely run due to difficulty. A couple saplings got knocked over. They could have been cut out when the trails were made but the club decided to leave them. Go out in your backyard and hug a tree. Everyone was aired down, if you think you can run it easier, get an invitation to the park, show how it's done...
Depends on the sidewall. New Iroks even when aired down to like 2 psi, the sidewalls never flex on a normal rig. Pretty sure these guys are at least below 8 pounds.
I saw a buncha jeeps and none seem to show any sidewall flex. Or very little. They all looked to have at least 20psi! So why are they running bead locks with so much psi? I run 10 psi on my Zuki without bead locks!
Its not other wheelers you need to worry its the tree hugers and the guys that protect the forests you need to worry, people are jerks, happens. I am in a wheeling club, I clean up after, and during the trail. Gotta keep them happy. lol. Plus your tearing up the trail making easier for the guys behind ya ;]
Did you not read what Mike Miller asked? He was wanting to know why all of the trucks in this video are running hwy psi and not rock crawling psi. Almost all of them have bead locks but they all seem to have a buncha freekin air in the tires!! They all go bouncy bouncy not flexy flexy like they should! U only gave him info which it seems he already knows!
Why doesn't anyone in this video have their tires aired down. It must be the in thing to have to full throttle it. We have worse here and I used to just crawl up it.
Really? Doesn't seem like a very good rock crawling tire if the wall doesn't flex and give you a bigger foot print. I get your point but like Mike said it doesn't seem that any of them are flexing very much or that can be noticed in the video. I have 35x15.50 TSL SX running 10psi and they are stiff as crap on my Zuki! They are my mud tires and I run 31x10.50 w 8 psi for my rock crawlers. They flex alot more but go where you aim them better than the 35s! =]
Junkyarddogk5 I would love for you to visit my house. Where the WOOD stove is fed by far more trees then the few you seen in this video. And I'm not talking saplings. I'm talking big trees. The ones I use my 36" husqvarna on just to cut through half of it. I tear trees up. But it's for heat. So suck it my friend
I guess that as long as its for a magazine and you are highly sponsered by the most popular brands you can run over and destroy whatever the hell you want to! Way to set an examply!!! TREAD LIGHTY MY ASS!!!!!
I love the people running the Jeep 4.0 with either a turbo or a supercharger or just N/A. You guys are my heros in the vid
I love that Power Wagon. Totally different in offroading.
Look at the tires on the Jeep. You can tell the sidewalls are flexing out. They are aired down, but it's super slick.
I'm glad somebody else can see things clearly. Land development and fires kill trees, not trucks. I need to make a t-shirt

4:22 that rig was bad ass!!
thank you brother.
My pleasure, keep on keepin' on!
Hope to meet/trail ride with ya someday.
i love watchin trees fall for some reason lol

That early bronco is PIMP!!!!
and so it's been for thousands of years. Trucks do nothing compared to the mighty fire!
was that 2nd truck an M37? Dodge power wagon?
UA-cam comment "Hall of Fame" nominee here! If we ever meet, beer's on me.
I agree. Ruins others wanting to wheel a Legendary trail but its closed....
I try to keep a bag in my rig so I can pick up some trash.
@JUNKYARDDOGK5 The guy in the Massive green chevy was a local, but yea, trees were a fallin!
Magnifique !
Did the last one have rear wheel steering?

Anybody tried deep lug tractor tires, will deep thick lugs catch the rocks better? Boggers aren't big enough.

are they not allowed to air down their tires or something?
I like how everyone is yellin jokes LOL

Well played sir
Forgot to add it looks like a hell of a time! Not crawlers thats forso! ;]
Isn't the point of beadlocks is so you can air down your tires?
Nice Chevy!
so much for tread lightly.
Nice rigs but didnt like the big tires helped very much
so much for finese!

lol @ the green thing.
3:08, hmmm so big ass fat tires and axles arnt everything?
the second truck was a.....?
so much for tread lightly
No shit, you give the tree huggers alot of ammo with this video.. No wonder the public trails keep disapearing at an alarming rate!
big difference from the 03 adventure i just watched. 03 was produced better but better vehicles in this one. Did i hear turbos and superchargers??
that light green ute is a fukin tank i wish that was my rig
bouncin off the rev limiter ah yeah

rock it
driving at 5.34, thats how it should be done

Old Dodge Power Wagon I think.
seems trees kinda suck in NY LOL

the tree!!fuck!!!
Tread lightly dammit, you're making us all look bad
guys my 4 runner could do that with half the damage, learn to bloody well drive. amazing trails though
not real trees have been damaged on this vidio, go sport on nature... live forever...
air down.....
they did not understand what means grip.. :)
get tires with tread... :\
Os caras derrubam as árvores e batem palmas 👎
@JUNKYARDDOGK5 BRAVO TANGO DOWN :-)

Amazing how bad the suspensions are preforming on 95% of these rigs and the tire pressure they are running makes no sense by 2020 standards !!! LMAO
I think reverse must have been missing on the big green Chevy's transmission ...or he just can't drive ...lol...cool truck but driver has no skill.
MTR FAIL
