  • Can a 160 lb guy on a KLR handle slickrock like a boss? Well, if it's Jesse from GeoMoto on Jeff Emig's KLR650 from last year, then YUP! Join us for the first day of adventure through Moab, Utah. We rode SlickRock trail, then headed up Potash Road to the Shaffer Switchbacks on the White Rim Trail. It was an amazing way to start out a week full of incredible riding!

    I rode the Slick Rock trail many years ago and I was harassed by cyclists. I get it. They want it just for bicycles. I was riding a Suzuki DR 650. I personally found the experience daunting. On a smaller dirt bike it would have been really fun. The trail was beautiful. I will never forget it. Thanks for doing this. I really enjoyed watching someone ride it well.

    I'm gonna have to take a road trip there from Alaska were I live! That looks way to much fun! Eeveride what was your thoughts of that q4 exhaust on the klr you were ridding with? I'm debating if I wanna go with be fmf power core 4 or the q4. I know there's a noise difference but I'm after power. Thanks

    • @eveRide
      @eveRide  9 років тому +1

      +Quinn Whisnant I'm not really sold on exhausts for the KLR. To me, it's more of a tourer and having a loud pipe on a long ride isn't my thing. However, I won't lie at all, that KLR sounded GREAT! :)

    Great bikes. Being 6-4 190ish, these are the two bikes Im looking to upgrade to. From what I can tell the DRZ is mostly unchanged. Are there any years that are better than others. Any years that are lower in quality? Also, any KLR 650 years better than others. Used budget will be around $3000. THanks for the input!

    The “Crux”, or as I call it “My personal nemesis”, it not immune to ultra off camber slides. One time, on my old 525SXC, I thought I finally had that downward curve mastered, when my rear tire lost traction and slid down into that pothole. Worse: Hot mountain bike chicks watched me!!!! Nooooooooo!!!!!
    I’ve done that ride so many times now, and that tight off camber double turn still infuriates me.
    Reverse direction? Just go straight up the hill and rejoin the trail on top.

    We went out there from NC in July with our DIY RV/ toy hauler and took our two XT 225's and had an absolute blast! We did Fins-N- Things, Shafer trail, onion creek, Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods. It inspired me to make my first UA-cam videos because everyone should see this place. I can't stop thinking about it, we want to go back so bad! Don't wait just do it!

    I stayed at that same hostel last year on my solo trans America trail trip on my 15klr. Where I actually replaced my low beam light in the parking area under the single tree. But that was my first stay at a hostel and will be my last too! Thanks for some of the best dual sport footage and bike reviews out here!

    just as your handle bars and your front headlight shroud give a sense of perspective in the framing of your front facing shots, the rear facing shots weren't too over-crowded by the drone ,and they did eliminate the floaty flighty feel a video can get without anything to reference the framing off of. not too ruined I'd say. As for the 480p, its as smooth as silk which makes up for the lower resolution, but being on youtube, its great for Theatre view. maybe a slight bit of pixelation in full screen, but its fine for regular viewing . that slow-mo is freaking fantastic looking, the dust swirling like smoke- that's awesome; and the color is fantastic, was that post edited?
    what always brought me back, and still brings me back, time and time again, is you know when to change the shots and the camera footage to keep the attention of the viewer and keep the visuals as engaging as the dialogue. That gets coupled with your knack of showing that parts about adventure riding that usually doesn't get shared or recorded (putting on a hot sweaty helmet, ah yes, i know that one!) that just brings a sense of genuine and actual truth feeling that I love about your content. can't wait for more videos, as always Tyler, great video, keep 'em coming! you're getting better with that drone too!

      @eveRide  9 років тому

      +Cole Knowles Hey thanks Cole! In future videos I hope to get more of the personal side of the adventures. I usually don't keep the camera on for those moments, but I'm realizing that they're some of the best ones :)
