It sound a bit like "Polis Sedia Berkhidmat"-the official song of the Royal Malaysian Police.after all,the police forces of the 2 countries were once together right?
At the 1:19 mark it starts to sound like the German march 'Territorial'. For comparison; played by the Irish Guards at Windsor: /watch?v=RAqEIzok1Tk#t=0m53s
Can anyone tell me the composer of this stirring March? I look forward to hearing this March being played at each National Day Parade, and to seeing the men in blue march pass so smartly.
Nowaday, the police are quite lucky in the line of their duties. Those were the days the police(mata mata) had to face the onslaught by the Chinese school students throwing stones and glass bottles at them. Really aka (anak kurang ajar) and something must be wrong with the teaching of the Mandarin(man darin) language. Hence, it remains until today with 'the tip of an iceberg'.
Shaun Ng during all NDP Parade segment, when the SPF Guard of Honor contingent (the last of the 4 contingents) does the march pass, the central band will play this song.

This is by far the best march Singapore has produced. The detail makes it in league with British and Bavarian marches.
I agree. I can't find a lot of our marches written in the 1960s. They were best. Was there ever a SAFTI march?
Thank you!
DSP Ridzwan was the first local Director of Music (1960 - 86) following four expats. Hats off to a genius!
I dont know that Singapore Police Force March can be this smooth. Salam from Sarawak,Malaysia

Yes bro. Both under british influence and produced by malays.

that's true, as most commonwealth marches seem to have similar melodies and tempo.

Can anyone tell me the composer of this stirring March? I look forward to hearing this March being played at each National Day Parade, and to seeing the men in blue march pass so smartly.
If I'm not mistaken, it was DSP Ridzwan Mulok, the former Director of Music of the Singapore Police Force Band..
I think 2006-2007 NDP's had these. But i don't know when it was continued.
