It sounds like an ocean, or waves, especially during Mild Confusion. It's such an amazing tone that was captured perfectly here. Rex is definitely underrated.
One of the best live perfomances that i´ve ever seen! Not only from Tamaryn..but in general...the sound mix it´s incredible...the lightning, and of course THEM! This is soooo fuckin good that the songs from their earlier records sounds even better here! Lol! BEAUTIFUL!
I'm so sad that this incarnation of the band is done :( Rex is working on his new band and Tamaryn's toured these old songs for the last time :'( Glad I got to meet everyone at their last show together...
Nidra Life Rex is a "purist", and he only wants to focus on one project at a time, according to what Tamaryn told me. There's probably more to it, but I know for sure that the band's sound is going to change dramatically(ish) soon...
I was thinking... A shoegaze guitar player with just two pedals ? But then i saw the Roland Space Echo that sits on top of his amp... I guess you dont need nothiing else if you have that beautiful machine ! Amazing band !
The interplay between guitar and bass (or just how perfectly the bass guitar responds to those absolute killer riffs of Rex) could only be described as a new minimal approach to "shoegaze"...Pure aesthetic indulgence! Unlike Tamaryn's new album...Nothing against Tamaryn personally - she still crafts damn good music of course - but against her choice of musicians...I'm speaking from what I saw on KEXP (presumably Tamaryn's new album "Cranekiss"). You can't replace those three characters you are watching(listening) right now with some Weekend musicians , can you? You be the judge anyway....
ha ha.... i was watching tv "the following" series and come across this .... why? because song vilotes in the pool immediately reminded me of robert smith. and agree with your comment..... love the cure and like this music too... im no music expert. hare krishna greetings from bosnia
hey were just in town, that drummer's threads - omgoodness - they looked pretty smoked up and he got on this "chadwick looking golf wears, you can label this shoelace - whatever, this is stoner rock at it's mellowest xxx cough*
this definitely satisfies the amount of reverb I need in my music
touche!!
And tape echo
tamaryn is pure art 🎨
Got em !!!!
stolen ideals.
she is not what you think.
The Definitive Tamaryn performance, very fortunately recorded by the great Kevin Suggs
Cranekiss will go down as one of the best shoegaze albums ever
-how much reverb you want?
-yes
Rex is one of the best guitar players I've ever heard!
He has one hell of a style, doesn't he?
He's always:)
he's great.Mostro!!!
There isn't another genre of music I know of that's this consistently good live.
artists always are.
the rest are just posers.
This is the best Tamaryn I've heard. Period.
Cranekiss is really good though
Still one of my all-time favorite videos.
sadly took me 10 years
that guitar!
THAT GUITAR!!
smooth and sharp, silky sexy, a sound universe folded unto into itself!
It sounds like an ocean, or waves, especially during Mild Confusion. It's such an amazing tone that was captured perfectly here. Rex is definitely underrated.

Watched their live at Bumbershoot this year. Without actually need to take anything, their sound is the best drug ever in this universe.
First song reminds me a bit of The Verve's album A Storm In Heaven. Spacey and somewhat psychedelic. Great sound.
I'm glad this music is on youtube to live on forever I hope. Love it.
fantastic performance! i love how the lighting stays blue all the way through - sets the mood perfectly.
i just started listening to this band! what a great band! i hope they are still together and maybe touring?
I saw them in The Hague 🇳🇱 4 years ago, last show they played was in 2022. Still very active, probably in the studio now.
This band is awesome bro
Heavenly Bodies always gives me goosebumps
i am really stoked with the sound of this band. they have all the flavors of great shoegaze. thank you KEXP & CHEERS Tamaryn
Music from heaven, so otherworldly beautiful. I luv this band. Doesn't get hardly any fluffier than this. :)
I've already listened to this performance countless times and had no idea that Rex was their guitarist until just a few moments ago. Always loved Vue.
Yep, and Jonah on bass
One of the best live perfomances that i´ve ever seen! Not only from Tamaryn..but in general...the sound mix it´s incredible...the lightning, and of course THEM! This is soooo fuckin good that the songs from their earlier records sounds even better here! Lol! BEAUTIFUL!

@@takasza88 Sure! 🥰❤
Hope sandoval has always owned a piece of my SOUL! now miss Tamaryn is right there! Mezmorizing
That last song Prizma is really something.
Superb performance from an immensely talented band.
I miss this line up!
Same
Part of truly enjoying music is learning to enjoy and let go.
Love everything about this...songs, musicianship, singing, performance, sound. These songs are better IMO than the recorded versions.
Love this video, glad I found it
Love Tamaryn! Keep The Gaze Alive!
I love her so much
same.
but from different aspect.
It's a fucking musical miracle
Amazing performance & one that I go back to.
Just pretty fucking incredible. How am I just learning of this group now??
I feel you! This is great, hey better late than never lol
they aren't a group (at least not in this way anymore) she just goes by tamaryn
fuck sake.
i was literally a hermit from 2012-2017 and i still managed to find my shoegaze straight away after emerging from under my rock.
@@AlexisAnderson reunion shows in SF and LA. Don’t sleep. You’re welcome.
That tape echo is putting out the mojo on Mild Confusion.
Loving the guitar playing...very atmospheric.
I can't stop listening..just beautiful!
SÚPER BIEN LOGRADO, pura calidad!
I'm so sad that this incarnation of the band is done :(
Rex is working on his new band and Tamaryn's toured these old songs for the last time :'( Glad I got to meet everyone at their last show together...
Do you know why they broke up?
Nidra Life Rex is a "purist", and he only wants to focus on one project at a time, according to what Tamaryn told me. There's probably more to it, but I know for sure that the band's sound is going to change dramatically(ish) soon...
Wow! i didn't know this...
So you are saying they are never going to play anything from Tender New Signs again? FML!
Yup, that was their last show playing anything off the first 2 albums :'( it's a bummer ain't it...
ThePrimaryDirective their new sound is incredibly underwhelming. It's sad.
Its very crazy! I love Tmaryn. good morning good live for us
a marvelous performance indeed !
good to see another side of Tamarym. Good shoe gaze nu gaze band
Great band. Thanks again to KEXP for introducing to us bands that we'll never see/hear.
I was thinking... A shoegaze guitar player with just two pedals ? But then i saw the Roland Space Echo that sits on top of his amp... I guess you dont need nothiing else if you have that beautiful machine ! Amazing band !
MARAVILHOSO , IMPECÁVEL, SENSACIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drummer at 25:50 is great !!!
Oh amazing sounds .guys your music it's incredibly
So good!!! I am so I love w this band!😍😍😍
It doesn't get better than this. Thank you!
i love this band too much. too much. need to see live. on a very high cliff. overlooking an ocean. westerly. at dusk.
Don't bother. Rex (the guitarist) has moved on, Tamaryn's newer material is VERY different and she never performs songs from this era.
@@ald7248 relax it's not that different- just more synthy. and besides her & rex are working together again
Excellent band

+Cyrus Budd jokes on you bud. She doesn't write any of that music and no one can stand to play with her. Hence the revolving cast of characters.
beautiful !
i come here on magical evenings
💛🌙
Just discovering this ten years later
They've got something beautiful going on there...
Excellent 😃
Brilliant.
Such a good live band
so beautiful
Rex Shelverton looks like Robert Smith in 1984/1985. Love it !
And he can pull out some smoking hot riffs...A very special breed this dude is!
Sorry I'm a half decade late. But you hit the nail on the HEAD

Caraio, todo mundo ta aqui pra falar o tanto que essa banda toca bem ao vivo. Live version rules…for more carbon sound
Epic!!
Rex is such an underrated guitar player
the queen of shoegaze
Drummer's hair is pretty epic.

Some stupid people likes regueton a lot...
Shoegaze bitches
yeahhh papiiii
What a lowlife comment.
Tamaryn you don't know me but you're one of my faves. I'm in SD if you wanna collab or need an fill-in bass player. IG- @gazengrunge
🖤
I wanna be that bassist, i mean, i really wanna be him
you be the bassist, I'll be the guitarist.
Why there is no more live shows from this amazing band in youtube?
First song is basically "Slide Away" by the Verve.
You remind me of "Nico" when she was w/the Velvet Underground.
Yup I thought of the same thing.
Mazzy star a bit as well
well i like it
When did Spock start drumming for Tamaryn?
When it became logical
Also Woody Harrelson decided to play bass with him.
@@LilRedRasta 😂
Shades of early Verve in this.
definitely hear some Verve "Slide Away" in "Mild Confusion"
Definitely get strong Storm in Heaven vibes 👌🏻
great shoe gazing
It's all at the Roland Space Echo ;)
"No exits" kills me....
Pinocchio turned Mod killing it !
cacofonia, noise, groove and ure in your world.u know what i meant
YESSSSSS SHOOEEEGAZZZIN

I get that ads pay for content, but it would be nice if they didn't pop up in the middle of a song.
too bad how things have gone.
please explain
There`s like 30 people in the crowd. I`m sure they enjoyed it, since they paid to be there.
This is better than 3.2 metric tons of sex.
+MattGurley Maybe you've been doing it wrong?
+MattGurley
I think my internet life would be complete to hear you cover Tamaryn. Hell, anything would be great
The youtube ad which interrupted the GREAT heavenly bodies is so f annoying.
Rex
the guitars are very similar to Yawning Man band. Great
