The 2017 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro, but not just by loading the show with random examples. In this display, we see an invitational of 1967 Camaro Z/28s, including this awesome Sunoco Trans Am racer built by Roger Penske and raced by Mark Donohue! 1967 Z/28s are a rare sight these days, and Trans Am versions even more so. This invitational was a great example of the special kinds of displays you’ll see at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals!

1967 - what an awesome year!
I owned a '67 SS 396 Camaro in the early 70's...one of my favorite cars ever...the 396 only came with 325 HP in the Camaro so it wasn't crazy fast but it was fun to drive.

This is where I end my research about acid dipping a race car to make the body lighter. Good Video! Nice cars.
As well as the acid dipping, they control arms were relocated to give better handling and lowering. The very old Chevy Power manual from Chevrolet had all the changes done to the SCCA Z28s. Try and find a copy if you can, Very interesting & informative.
