I suspected that this question about suspensions might come.😎 Well the suspensions on my interceptor 650 are adjustable, both front and back. So I can fine tune it according to my riding style. On the Bear 650. Front is okay, but the rear is rather stiff even on the lowest settings. I’m working on a review video. Will post soon.
However the riding position on the BEAR 650 is far more comfortable in comparison to my Interceptor which only comes close due to the handlebar risers I have installed. Plus OEM seat on Int 650 was shit, but you can BEAR to sit on it for longer duration with ease.😂
Look forward to your review on Bear compared to your modified suspension setup on interceptor. How is comfort/suspension on bear compared to stock interceptor vs your yss suspension setup? Do let us all know :) Could your yss front and back kit be retrofitted to bear just in case needed?
I have booked this bike over interceptor 650 . Do u agree with my decision or should i have went for int 650 ? .. and how is the high speed stability of bear 650?
Both are great. INT650 feels more retro and the twin exhaust separates the sound well, so there is a wider soundstage unlike BEAR 650 with single exhaust.
@kavina.s7959 Bear has an improved chassis and slightly more torque-y (8% more) And at high speeds, even though my interceptor doesn't wobble, after making slight adjustment on the OEM bike (changing tyres in my case), I feel this will enlist more confidence since this already comes with great set of tyres. But yes, this is a scrambler build with higher ground clearance and Interceptor is a retro bike. Your decision is good.
Ganesh ji could you lets us know about the riding experience compared to the int650, as you are above 6ft, so am I!! how do you feel with your legs, do they toch the handle bar when you make U-turn?or the tank indentation gives pain in the knee?? also does this bike look like a miniature when you sit on it?These are some genuine questions being a tall rider..!
The bear 650 comes with 2x1 exhaust but it still based on the double-cradle frame platform same as the interceptor and GT, so can we use the same 2x1 exhaust downpipes form RE to customise both interceptor/GT?
You can already purchase the himalayan rear tubeless spoke (17 inch) and goan classic 350 front spoke (19 inch) and bolt it on. But yes, tubeless rims will available across royal enfield lineup soon since they've launched it for gc 350.
This has 19” and 17” wheels. Even if they were swappable, some fabrication/ modification would be required for us to do this adjustment. I do suspect that wheels for Int650 would be available in the near future.
@@1nOnlySBtheoretically you can replace with Goan classic front wheel, and New Himalayan rear wheel as both these tyres have similar profile/ width. (100 front and 140 rear)
Hey just curious if we increase sproket tooth on int650 torque on wheels will increase but top speed reduces by 10-15 as far as i checked in most videos bears top speed is 160 ish so maybe thats all that they did🤔
Okay this… it’s giving me second thoughts about my earlier decision.. I asked for a test ride in my nearest showroom, they said it might take a month or 2
Took a test ride of the bike. It has some design issues I noticed, it’s near the foot brake lever and gear lever, I did not feel comfortable at all and I had difficulty finding it because engine is by design bulged near those areas and on top of the small levers made it difficult for me to ride..
@@SrinivasGanesh The Paint job on wild honey was not up to my expectations. In review videos it look amazing. When I saw it in person it completely turned me off…. Have a safe ride and keep up the work😊
@@SrinivasGanesh interesting point. when i sat on it, i found the extended gear and brake levers to be easier to operate than my inty (specially with riding boots). That and the slightly more neutral set footpegs make a huge difference to the ergonomics (purely based on me sitting on the stationary bike at MV). looking forward to your thoughts, particularly wrt to the ergos.
@@SrinivasGaneshplease dont take my comment in bad way but you have set a standard already from your previous POV's so maybe i was expecting exhaust sound more
How is it a scrambler with tubed tires…this is also to heavy for the power it is. The 400x is much lighter, about same HP, less maintenance, more clearance …idk I think this is a fashion exercise for interceptor
Again the constant whining about the power to weight ratio. If It can do highway speeds, it's good enough. Where are you taking your scrambler bikes to? On track with your race buddies? Yes the scrambler 400x is better for maintenance. But RE is a real vintage brand, and this is a true retro offering. It's a niche brand. Idk why people complain about this in an RE video.
That colour scheme is so beautiful!
I like the 249 one more🤫😎
The stock exhaust sounds good after long time in a bike, wow 😮❤
They do don't they!
@SrinivasGanesh yessss! But still I'll prefer your interceptor's exhaust sound 😂
Sounds better than my interceptor 😌👌 now I'm jealous
hahaha, I kinda like this sound too!
Sushhh.....what if your interceptor listens, she might get mad
thank you. Hoping to see some clean and detailed comparison with interceptor
This colour 🤌🏽
I love the 249 variant. That screams RETRO vibe. And I'm in awe of that color scheme! This one is good too.
i only have 1 question. how do you manage to record the video without the instrument cluster flickering?
Wait, I thought mine was flickering. No?
How would you compare it to your interceptor? The dynamics, suspension (stock), weight?

Any solution for rear suspension of bear 650
Looking forward to your review@@SrinivasGanesh
Can you mention the name of the yellow riding gloves of yours , you used in interceptor vs Himalayan video . They looked awesome with the interceptor.
Those are discontinued unfortunately. They are Yellow gloves from Royal Enfield.

Both are great. INT650 feels more retro and the twin exhaust separates the sound well, so there is a wider soundstage unlike BEAR 650 with single exhaust.
And the high speed stability of the motorcycle depends on the tyres we use, irrespective of the model.

This is an extended, modded version of the Interceptor.
Sounds a lot more refined.
It most definitely is.!
Hey! Did you rent it for this ride? If yes , suggest some good rentals around Delhi/NCR pls.
Will tubeless rims be available for this model, if yes can we fit this to interceptor?

I think it would be better to go for a 20km test ride on each bike and then decide for yourself
better to go for a test ride on both the bikes. Multiple test rides that too. That will help you in determining which one you like the most.
I agree.
Can we convert these into tubeless tyres ?
With an outex kit yes you can.

Test ride of the Bear 650 will take a month or 2? Well you can try smoother showroom then.

40 HP - 47 HP
37 Nm - 56 Nm
How these figures are almost same and beside that vibrations will be much lesser on the RE650 engine.
