I started year 12 doing essays achieving U's from not knowing how to properly write a sociology essay. since my teacher recommended your videos the grades have massively improved. You have given me hope and I am very grateful, thank you so much.

Well done but what does b5 refer to? Is it AQA or another spec?

In the practical limitation paragraph like shown in the video, when should you do the practical strength? Should it be as another paragraph or within the same paragraph?

Should you do a criticism in your paragraph?? And by separating the practical, ethical and theoretical paragraphs into 3 separate paragraphs can you still get into a high band that way?

is dishonesty/social desirability a practical issue?

Both of these impact the validity, that is a theoretical issue. Likewise so does the Hawthorne effect.

Hi , I’m practicing questions however I’m stuck on some points for my 20 marker . Could you please give me some points :
evaluate strengths and weaknesses of written questionnaires to investigate the role of parents in children’s achievment in school.
Because it’s very specific on what type of questionnaires , I’m kind of stuck so I would appreciate some points please

@@TheTEACHERSOCIOLOGY I just need practical , ethical and theoretical advantages and disadvantages . I’ve been trying to do it but I don’t get it due to the fact we have to link it to parents . So could you please give me some points and tell me if it’s practical theoretical or ethical so I can develop iyn

@@jessicakyei6918 Start with Practically, a questionnaire is quick and easy to complete. You can hand them out in class and the pupils can take them home for their parents to fill it in. BUT some parents may not have literacy skills to understand the writing on the questionnaire, or not have english as a first language, so they may be unable to fill in a writtten questionnaire.

@@jessicakyei6918 If you are thinking ethically - you have consent prior to filling in the questionnaire. BUT regarding parents they may not give consent. THink WHY they would not give consent? Are they the type of parents who do help their children at school? IF they don't ... they may not want to fill in the questionnaire.
