In this video I describe a little about the I Ching (Book of Changes), an ancient Chinese divination text which is one among the oldest texts in history. Prefaced by Carl Jung and even commentary by Confucius, this book is considered to be a book of wisdom which interprets hexagrams (symbols made up of six stacked horizontal lines) formed by tossed coins to form answers to questions regarding the future.

Yes, the traditional method is casting of yarrow stalks. The chances of getting odd/even and solid/broken lines is very different compared with tossing coins. Though coins are more recent, even more modern is replicating the yarrow stalk method, digitally, using a computer algorithm.
