I bought a set of these... Not surprisingly, within 4 packs, half the Oil leaked oot! HOWEVER, I rebuilt them, using Team Associated "X-RINGS" instead of the Injora O-Rings... And they haven't leaked a DROP since!! 👍👍 The X-Rings are more expensive and harder to find - but absolutely WORTH IT!
It is always something to keep in mind that a very carefully executed nip with a Dremel or even a craft knife to nibble a little off the shock pistons if they do seem a tad tight, it has worked well for me.
I have 3 sets of these, they work well on my Injora rock buggy but sort of just okay on my scx10 2 and fitted a set to a cheap ftx crawler and they were like pogo sticks this is despite fine tuning, greasing with green slime and playing with different oil weights
I have them in my D110 hard body based on Injora metal chassis frame. They are not great, I found some problems. First is with rubber gasket. If you screw cap top much, gasket will fall into cylinder. Second one is with thread whitch is too short, so you can adjust spring with limited range. Third problem is travel range, shaft could be longer making shocks work better. I would recommend blue one from Injora, I think they are better.
Thanks for the video. Good to know they do a bigger bore shock. I actually bought the gold ones you first did and one of them was faulty but they are dealing with this no problem. I can't see the link for these larger bore shocks though?
Good to hear they're dealing with it well, please let me know how everything goes! I totally forgot to drop the link! I'll have it up by noon today, my friend! 😄
@@poorboysrc the smallest they do in this one is 90mm. For most of my RC's which are Tamiya they are too long. Would fit the rear of some but my OCD wants to match the front.
@@DustyFingersRC I feel ya there bud, I'd definitely want mine to match too! I do have a set of shorter big-bores from Yeah Racing on the way, installing them on my Wild Dagger project. They cost more than the Injora's, and shipping is taking forever, but I'll put together a video on them when they arrive! 👊🍻
Great video bro....just got mine from the Amazon delivery....can you maybe have a video made of installing the shock oil....for us newbies.....thanks in advance.....👍👍👍✌😁
It'd be great help if you'd meassure what you can for videos with calipers. Biggest pain is shopping online these days are lacklustre descriptions. Even from major brands, or maybe especially from them
I'm looking for suspension for non RC purposes; I want to put shock absorbers on my sim rig underneath my mousepad to absorb any shocks/blows/abuse that it can endure from my playing. I for the life of me can't find the pressure limits of RC shock absorbers, do you know how many kg these things can handle? Do you know if there's any shock absorbers that are a class above RC but a class below bikes?
Sorry pal, I'm not too sure about these spring rates. You could get big, 1/5 scale shocks. Check out the Losi DBXL, it's massive! The shocks for it might be what you need?
@@poorboysrc hey if I wanna run these but have that really realistic bouncy look that some crawlers have what shock oil an springs would you recommend?
@@beingre_bornbrb I'm running 35wt oil in mine along with the stiff springs in the rear (with the cage on top to add weight) and if you watch my last running video, the rebound on the shocks looks pretty sweet. I'd start with 35 wt oil and if your rig is light, use light springs, if it's heavy, go with the heavy spring. 🤙

I have those same shocks installed on my Clodbusters i think its the 90 or 100 mm
They are good shocks and it looks good too.
Excellent review Fil !

All over the map, hey? I'm really happy with them on my Kyosho Outlaw Rampage, they work 👌
You can’t beat injury product, especially their shocks.
Agreed, great bang for the buck gear!

I'm definitely gonna check these out, I got a pair of Traxxas slash for me and my daughter to play with and this will be the first upgrade. :)

My daughter and I have SCX10.2's. Honcho and Deadbolt. New to this. What size should we get ? Stock shocks suck !
I think the stock shock length is 90mm on that rig. Some guys like going up to 100mm, but personally, I would stick with 90 and a 50/50 setup. 👊
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. That's awesome! I'm going to order the red and black ones for mine and the blue ones for my daughter.

hello .. are they better than stock shocks trx4 defender? red are black; 110mm?
I wouldn't say they're better. I'm really happy with my TRX-4 shocks and also really happy with these Injoras. Similar in terms of quality, I'd say.
I wonder if they’ll take a bleeder cap from one of the name brands??
If I had a bunch around I'd try them out for ya but I don't think any of my shocks have bleeders.
Good looking shocks man. Have they held up?
One is leaking from the top bladder, so I've gotta sort that out, but other than that, I've been really happy with them.
Hello, are they any good for crawler? ty
I don't see why not, they come in a variety of lengths and are buttery smooth. 🤙
