I laughed so hard. My wife does the same thing. Gets real excited over every little bend and tipsy part of the road. All I can say is at least one of us or you got an adrenaline rush. :)
I have to laugh, 11 years ago people only got one half assed attempt at getting over obstacles? It was like "he's at 10 degrees pitch! STOP! PULL THE WINCH LINE! HE'S GOING TO DIE!" 🤣 This obstacle can easily be ran in a stock Rubicon with a good line. I just ran it for my first time and walked right up two weeks ago. This was my favorite of all the BoH trails, haven't done Holy Cross yet though, I want armor before that one. Thanks for making such a high quality video 11 years ago! Videos made today aren't as good!
i thought they were gonna get more than that.. at 9:03 the door sill was almost under the rock and he's saying turn passenger. maybe that's the normal route and the backend was too far passenger but being winched up i would've just gone straight or even driver. then again i have no idea what that drivers side rear is doing which brings me to the next point- walk 10ft and check the other side! not 2 spotters with ~65% the information, 1 spotter with 100%.
Video was too fast to really enjoy the sights but the music was great.... I love Ouray as we are from Montrose and Grand Junction, CO. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us....We are now from Sun City West, AZ. Looks like a lot of fun with a group of people that likes tight spots...Without seeing these videos we would never have a chance to see these different areas.. Thanks again...
No, you did not drive a Scrambler up "The Wall" on Poughkeepsie Gulch. Maybe with some crazy low gearing and some super grippy tires on a locked rear end, but no way without a heavily modified rig did you make it UP the wall. It is a much, much easier trail going down hill instead of up.
To many mistakes thay needed to lower tire pressure n keep in low gear, lived n 4 wheeled in Colorado to many years , been all over the rockys n loved it! Not for the faint hearted on thes trails!
Dont listen to Harris,I enjoyed the fact that you companion was nervous, after all Holy &%@! is awesome. She was making me laugh. I bet she freaked out on Black Bear. WE take those same passes in our fiberglass dune buggy's Check my videos=Bob Elgin
The spotter (and Bill) is in the danger zone. If that steel winch cable fails, he runs a risk of getting hit and seriously injured. Also, I’d recommend awinch dampener or two, and a sleeve over the cable where it contacts the ground to prevent wear.
Bill knows not to let the cable do all the work...other dude, shhh. And switch to synthetic line yall if u havent already. Stay safe out there you guys!
The winch section is on Poughkeepsie. Corkscrew is a wonderful fun trip regardless of whether you own your own vehicle or are in a rental Jeep; rental Jeeps are forbidden from Poughkeepsie Gulch and Black Bear.
Is there a bypass for that rocky section the jeeps were getting winched up? The rest of the trail looks fun, but I really doubt my F150 would make it up those rocks..
Man I am glad I didn't go up that pass!! Would have been stuck! Was that part that you had to winch up on Poughpeepise or Corkscrew? We were jeeping there this week!!
Definitely could have done a better job with the guiding on Poughkeepsie. The body damage on the stock jku was avoidable with a different route going up the rock instead of around it
fail fail fail fail!!! one the guy sitting behind the jeeps is in a dangerous place 2 there not using a dampener bag in case the cable breaks 3 there just standing next to the cable 4 really??? spin the wheels than stop ? just back down and go the other way
LOL. YA, YA MIGHT WANT TO LEAVE MOMMA HOME NEXT TIME. SOUNDS LIKE MY GRAND DAUGHTER. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Grandpa, I’m scared! Lol too bad baby girl, we’re committed now!
@ 9:30 the guy on cam. telling the winch guy to hook up on the passenger side pulled the jeep into the rock slider scratching it. if i'm using a spotter its one guy I trust.
I've been doing Poughkeepsie for 15 years and that's the first time I've seen anyone winch up. With Rubicons no less.
I laughed so hard. My wife does the same thing. Gets real excited over every little bend and tipsy part of the road. All I can say is at least one of us or you got an adrenaline rush. :)
Yeah but that's ridiculous dude I would kick Elfie out the first time she went nuts on me like that.
Great music. Funny commentary. Beautiful Colorado scenery. Thank you for taking the time to make and post
Love your videos. Lots of Jeep Know-it-all’s in here who need to just hush and enjoy the show.
At 9:30 the guy on the camera should be quiet. Too many people giving instructions. Just causes confusion.
Loved Elfie directing traffic at the "wall" once she was out of the jeep! Her running commentary makes these videos so funny!

great video, great music, very entertaining, and definitely enticing.
Shoot saw the name remembered your video from Black Bear pass so of course I clicked and subscribed thanks for the videos 😁
Wow you guys tore that guys rock rail wide open on that rock at the 9m mark.

I love Elfie she is a hoot!

I know right! Give Bill a god damn break!!
HAHA!! More fun than the three stooges!!! Pilgrims with no experience, 4wd and street tires HA!! A treat every time!!
Love Elfie!!!!!!!!
Really? she's a control freak.
Wow! You guys are nuts! 😳😳😳
Dang all this steel cable makes me nervous! Yall def need some training courses! Go see C4RS out west.
Wheres you're wife from? The accent really makes these vids. I'm subbing. The wife and i love the antics. Lol. Good stuff.
At least one guy knew how to read the hill
I like hearing Ellie more😀
Drove this in 2004 in a 85 Scrambler never used or needed 4wd. Nice job of making an easy trail more than it is.

NV4500 6.63 X 4 to 1 transfer case with High Pinion D60 with 4.56 gears, low enough for you know it all

16:10 ish Bill whistles when he’s nervous, lol
Old people and off-roading make me really nervous lol
Cringey moments for sure, then u throw in steel cable and big mouths, little knowledge.
Great video. Awesome!

This is awesome! I love your videos.
Love the section around 16:00 with you and the wife... I can hear that conversation myself.
Elfie have a few margaritas before this run? lol She was much more laid back and giggly than Black Bear. :D
That guy was in the way all the time at the wall
You can go around using the bypass right next to the obstacle . For viewers.
Poughkeepsie is a nightmare. I have been down but could never go up!
Run that route yearly on quads and side by side RZRs, from the Ironton trailhead off 550 over to Lake City via Animas Forks and Engineer Pass
I'd tell that camera guy to shut his mouth. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

Also, you may want to use a different winch after a couple of pulls to give original winch a break. Spread the work.
Bill knows not to let the cable do all the work...other dude, shhh. And switch to synthetic line yall if u havent already. Stay safe out there you guys!
why was everyone getting winched up before even trying to get up the wall @ 5.5min?
I was wondering the same. At least give it a try.
The last guy made it ok
Welcome to "How not to winch a vehicle" 101.
The winch section is on Poughkeepsie. Corkscrew is a wonderful fun trip regardless of whether you own your own vehicle or are in a rental Jeep; rental Jeeps are forbidden from Poughkeepsie Gulch and Black Bear.
Wow, how no one got injured is a mystery to me.
go to the boondocks to be in bumper to bumper traffic?
Great video. Can't wait to try it myself. Thanks for posting.
Can you furnish the musician who played the piano? Enjoyed the video, ~ from Texas, Richard & Barbara.

3:24 I died. LOL HA HA HA HA
Man...that last JK almost took you out at 11 minutes...damn. Most annoying cameraman I have ever heard.
C H Ha, I was about to say the same thing...
as much as the wife tells you how to drive...
you ought to have her drive the road or just leave her home next time...
Who's playing the piano?
Hey, I have a question... How do you have your camera mounted?
What camera are you using?
I love the pelvis.....😳 I mean Elvis Lol
The one with the camera talks to much !!!
