      It's a difficult game to understand, this video practically spoon fed us how to play. Instead of just a redundant 'no', why not elaborate why instead of coming off as not just a dumbass (think that's established), but a douche too.

    The rules of the game are extremely simple and I understood it the first time around. I just have trouble remembering which combos beat which ( i.e. does 2 pairs beat 3 of a kind, etc. ).

    • @FisshyJoyce
      @FisshyJoyce 8 років тому +25

      +camdevtube NO, the 3 of a kind is higher than 2 pairs, 3 of a kind win 2 pairs and the videos shows the ranking of cards, its easy to know that coz of the ranking//

    • @y8r113
      @y8r113 8 років тому +38

      +camdevtube It's simple. It's like driving. You'll get used to it in a week if you're playing constantly. "It'll click", then you get on to more complex poker strategies. Once you're able to "read boards" (essentially being able to comprehend what hands, draws you have) really quickly, it gets easier. I know for some beginning poker players, it's hard to figure out what hands you have sometimes.

    When u really understand it, it's an amazing game. It requires you to see things from many different perspectives at once. And it's really psychological. You are also battling the wits of your opponent. Clever people do well at the game.
    Edit: and if you're new and don't understand right away, don't worry, doesn't mean u aren't clever, just play for a bit and u will pick it up, then the fun begins.

    If you want to teach people the poker rules you have to explain everything from the beginning! You cant just skip parts and expect people to know what you're talking about..

    Question 1: In the Flop Round and in the subsequent rounds, is the small blind the only one that can check or can anyone check aswell?
    Question 2: Do all the players have to bet in the same amount for the next round to start? for example,
    IF:
    player 1 small blind bets 5
    player 2 big blind bets 10
    player 3 bets 10
    player 4 raise 20
    player 5 bets 20
    player 6 bets 20
    does the betting go back around to player 1 and 2, to bet those 20 they didn't bet in because it was raised? and does only then does it go to the next round?
    Question 3: Do the bets of the small and big blind carry over from previous rounds? For example,
    IF:
    player 1 small blind bets 5
    player 2 big blind bets 10
    Is the minimum bet going to be 10 for every round OR is it going to be a fresh new bet every round?
    (since they keep using 5 and 10 in the video that confused me a bit)
    Question 4: does the big blind have to double the amount of the small blind ONLY in the pre flop round or in all subsequent rounds as well? (this question is a bit dumb but I want to make sure)
