The sad truth in this case is that the majority of the judges were cohorts of Pres. Noy Aquino whose family's vast hacienda luisita is the subject of a case decided by the supreme court headed by corona. The decision was not favorable for the Aquino-Cojuangco clan.

I really doubt about how article 2 of the impeachment complaint particularly 2.2&3 which its evidence is enough to meet conditions of the quantum of evidence(preponderance of evidence or substantial evidence) applied in this case. If I'm not mistaken correct me if I'm wrong there are more or less 7 articles in the impeachment complaint against CJ Corona, hence, only some of under article 2 are enough as basis for the senator judges to render guilty against the accused. I do not question the intellect of all the senator-judges at that time but doubting their decision is inevitable for me. I heard some of the opinions of lawyers during trial saying "this is the only way for the public to remove CJ Corona from office" at that moment I agree with that opinion however minutes later I was convinced to the fact that the Congress at that time especially the HOR did not give the accused a right to due process in the preliminary stage and sent the complaint before the Senate. Thus, there is clear motive that the 2 branches of the gov't including a member in SC working together to remove former CJ from his position.
To be honest, you cannot comprehend his langguage, impression is only a feeling of excitement but if you dig dipper to the langguage of law you'll notice that Cuevas outperform every lawyers this country has.
