I feel sorry for the latest generation though as far as music goes. I noticed that a lot of Kompa music is in English now WTF?!, and most music videos now are made in Miami. SMH. I can't stand groups like Carimi who sing Kompa in English. And Haitian-American youth think it's really good Kompa.smh. Haitian parents, if you live in America and your children don't know how to speak creole, french, and do not know true Haitian music, shame on you plain and simple. I miss those days in Haiti. Pop culture back then was awesome. It's unfortunate that we could not master our destiny in Haiti, and do great things. I guess that's what happens when you are too busy killing fellow Haitians who disagree with you. smh. But great memories though. Love Papash... and their songs were performed in CREOLE not English, at least back then.
