There is a specific angle to detach the visor and it looks like you didn't do it properly... so before you defame a brand you should watch a how to video or read the instructions of the helmet.
@@gsoup7850 I agree with this too. I own one and it doesn't feel like a quality built, but I didn't pay a fortune for it, so it's a case of you get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. These helmets are not necessarily expensive. Friends have had these for years with nil issues. Pinlock does work in my experience, but can only speak for Shoei and AGV.
Had mine for 2 years and do 10.000 miles a year. Had absolutely no problems whatsoever. And sounds like you haven't fitted the pinlock properly, because mine has worked excellent all through winter too!
@@gsoup7850Because they are bags that are being filled with a mixture of air. You don't call them crash airbags, do you? Hehe Edit: Or crash seatbelts
I had the same thing happen to my Shark Skwal 2.2 after 15 months of use, it's quite a common problem i'm told, other parts of it don't seem the best quality either, only good thing was they replaced it without a fuss.
Yes, I think something I forgot to mention in my video is that the chin air vent just falls straight off, it's not even a mechanism, just a flimsy part of the plastic moulding.
I've owned this helmet for 5 years. Ridden thousands of miles with it. Its been absolutely fantastic and for the price I would highly recommend it. I do agree about the visor though, it's not well designed and I had the exact same issue with mine. Although I contacted Shark directly and they sent a replacement even though it was out of warranty ! Great service from them. My only other issue is the speaker cut outs dont seem to be positioned quite right for my ears, bit too high and a bit too far back. But other than that its served me very well.
Just adding to this, the pinlock works great for me. If it ever does start to steam up which rarely happens, I pop the chin vent and clears very quickly.
this is a GREAT helmet, by far the MOST COMFORTABLE and sound-dampening I have owned. I've had one for more than 5 years, I am now replacing it for an identical one. The reason why I am changing it is because the visor was starting to become hazy and the transparent coating was peeling off. The price for a new visor is too high. Since the interior was starting to deteriorate too, I decided to spend 270$ for anew helmet, rather than 110$ on a visor alone
@@gsoup7850 no problem whatsoever with anything else than the visor starting to become blurry. Great helmet and love the brand. I’ve had this helmet for over a year now, I use it almost daily. I have never had any issues with this helmet. Personally I do recommend the helmet.
1.5 years no problem at all

Yes that is always a good idea, but it is so fragile, one wrong move and it breaks. This is not a robust design.

I had exactly the same issue today. 🤬
Had more than one D-Skwal (one has been my go-to helmet for the last 3ish years) and a Spartan Carbon. Never had any issues with the visors.

Why do you call it a "crash helmet"😂... They're called Helmets, don't jinx yourself
Why do we call airbags, airbags? Surely they are just a bag until they inflate when crashing?
