  • Today I’m going to show you How to Make Edible Moss. This edible grass is a great way to decorate cake and cupcakes, especially for kids. It tastes good and takes less than five minutes to prepare.

    INGREDIENTS:
    1 egg at room temperature
    25g (3 tbs) flour
    5g (1 ¼ tsp) baking powder
    12g (1 tbsp) sugar
    30g honey

    I’m glad I found this. I was going to modify the store bought cake to make a fairy cake for my daughter’s 3rd bday in Dec. I will definitely add this around the fairy. And when the cake is done, I’d put a link to this video on my channel.

    Why is it that a paper cup or a plastic cup is being used? Cant we just use a regular say glass cup? Will the result be different?

    Can this be stored in the frig or in an air tight container on the counter for a few days until it's time to use?

      Hi Mindy, you can store it in the fridge for a couple of days. I store mine in an airtight container in the freezer and defrost it when I need it)

    If I store the sponge cake in the freezer and want to use it afterwords, how do I use it? Do I leave it in fridge or room temperature? Do I have to reheat it or do I leave it slowly defrost by itself? Thank you!!!

      Hi Agapi, You can leave it at room temperature and let it slowly defrost by itself. No need to microwave.)

      Hi Maria, I never tried to make it with corn syrup but I thing Yes you can. I know for 100% you can replace the honey with invert sugar. I hope it helps)

      Hi, I have not tried it myself, but I know that you can. Use paper cups or silicone cupcake molds and bake at 430-460 F (220-240C) for about 4-5 minutes, kipping the eye on it.

      Hi Amina, I have not tried it myself, but I know that you can. Use paper cups or silicone cupcake molds and bake at 430-460 F (220-240C) for about 4-5 minutes, kipping the eye on it. I hope it helps!)
