On April, 24th 2015 we were invited to the international press driving event of the all new BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer to Zadar, Croatia. Our test car was a 2015 BMW 220d Gran Tourer xDrive with the Luxury option line. In our in-depth review we present you the 2015 BMW 220d Gran Tourer xDrive as detailed as possible. Just a small remark: perhaps also show the available/used tire repair set that is provided with this car and where it's stored? Also funny to hear the wordings "too serious" (instead of 2 series), but besides that, very grundlich & top review! This was a decisive video in buying this car for me.

I have watched this review and the 2015 Touran review. In my opinion the biggest difference from a practical point of view is that the Touran has 3 independent rear seats in the middle row. This is much better is you are using child seats or boosted seats.
By the way your English is excellent. The only thing I picked up on is that 'gauges' is pronounced 'gages' - I hope that you do not mind me saying.

Ausfahrt.tv I've driven 8.000km with the car and I absolutely love it. It's a 16d Sport Line with some extras. Sadly it has some bugs, it's obviously a new car. Fabulous review , Jan. In the states, BMW 2 series is small size Coupé , you know，just a little bit lager than 1 series Coupé. We also have M235. So , is 2 series mini Van gonna be imported to the U.S. ?
白金 The 2 Series here is as well the coupe and a convertible. Noone knows why they call the Active and Gran Tourer 2 Series as well. And no, I dont think they will ship them over to you, main markets are Europe and China. [Jan]

+bhfireblade If I'd buy the car for me and my lifestyle life, I would choose the BMW as it is so nice inside. If I'd buy it for my family, I'd take the Touran as it appears more robust. [Jan]
I have one now for 3 months on an otherwise excellent car my concerns are:-
a. Huge blind spot around the pillar of the drivers door mirror that you have to get used to
b. excessive depth of rear bumper - when loading the boot you have to lean into the car to
put anything on the load area which means that in rainy UK your trousers get wet shins.
c. Middle seat/centre row is for occasional use only - 5cm more width in the seat at the expense of moving the side seats further out and slightly narrower would make it more comfortable.
What I would change: remove the 3rd row of seats, lower the boot floor which would increase the boot space and allow the rear seats to push further back giving a luxury tourer

Would you choose this over the latest B-Class, Mr. Z?
WingeBag I think the B-Class is only comparable to the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer while the Gran Tourer is quite longer - thus has as an option 7 seats. Anyhow, interieurwise I would indeed prefer the Bimmer - even with me being a Mercedes guy - as I think that BMW uses better materials in the compact segment cars. But overall, if I would need a car like that, I would probably go for the Ford S-Max as it offers more space inside and is overall cheaper. [Jan]
what about real combined fuel consumption? 5l/100km or more than 6?
Marco Bertona We did not drive enough and that little that we drove had nothing to do with reality, so I am sorry we cannot give you reliable numbers of fuel consumption. [Jan]
these models have the baddest gearbox on the planet don't ever think of buying one... only if ur prepared to buy new gearboxes
