Yes!! One of my favourite Kylie songs and I've always seen it as a double entendre. This was the lead single from Kylie's 2018 country-ish album Golden. She combined her signature dance with country music.

Yes, spot on. Your analysis is perfect. There are many songs she wrote like this song that speaks about death or dying and this is one of them. She is not a morbid person but she has faced her demons previously. She had to face the prospect of dying from breast cancer in 2005 and learning that she could not have children because of her illness. She was disgosed during her Showgirl concert tour when she was at the peak of her career internationally. She wrote a number of songs including "Flower" when she was undertaking Chemo in Australia and France. The song is specifically about the child she will never have and I shed a tear each time I hear her sing it live. The song is a fan request favourite and she has sung it during a few performances but you can see she is emotional when she ends the song.
I think the cancer experience might have been a turning point in her career snd life. I believe she became stronger and more determined to use her god given talent to excell at her art before she leaves this planet and when she does, she wants to go out dancing. I for one have loved being on the Kylie journey as she brings me so much joy snd fulfilment. When I am feeling like I need a lift, I reach for a Kylie DVD and leave feeling a lot better. She is absolutely incredible and I have learned a lot from her over the years. For her to have been less than 12 months out of chemo and perform in Australia a full concert "The Showgirl Homecoming Concerts" just blew me away at her strength of character. She was still growing her hair out and had to have drink breaks, but still performed one of the best concerts I have ever witnessed. She's a legend!!❤❤❤❤❤

it is said that this is about life and death in general. like when you go out do it with pride. do as much as you can before you die, so you can say you did it all and won´t regret not doing all this stuff in your life, that makes it more worth living.

Terell, you're sharper than me! Took me a couple of listens to pick up on that double meaning. And, you're dead right! She released this album when she turned 50 and several years after beating breast cancer, so... it makes sense that her own mortality would be on her mind.
