Stay Away From the TSP F Fund if You Want to Stay Retired

The TSP offers great options for building your wealth while you're employed. But the five core funds are limiting in options when it comes to the greater needs that retirees have. The TSP isn't unique in this either, many 401Ks are similar.
Retirees often rely on bonds to create a system of cash flow to support their FERS pension and Social Security incomes. This helps them meet their needs, wants, and desires to get the most of out their retirement.
But using bond funds, like the TSP F Fund, comes with its own challenges. My personal opinion is that bond funds are an inferior option when looking to create stable cash flow. In this video I talk through the various components of how bonds fit in a portfolio and why I believe you should stay away from the TSP F fund in retirement.
