Maybe the reason for some great colors of the Soft Glam palette not being in the dupe palette is that they are shades from the Modern Renaissance palette, which they already made a dupe for. I think it's called Rose in the Air.
Oh my gosh I didnt even think of that but you're right! That makes total sense! I swatched Rose in the Air and Modern Ren together on my Instagram last year and I forgot that Soft Glam has repeat shades!
I was thinking the same thing! I have Rose in the Air and it has the missing shades. So put them together and I’d be set!
They did good. I didnt buy Soft Glam because of the repeats in MR. That was super annoying to me, besides I hate the Tempera shade, it is SO dry on me.
I almost bought the Soft Glam palette during the Black Friday sale but I decided I didn't want to spend a lot on eyeshadow when I have so much. For $4.99 though I think I will "splurge" LOL. It looks almost exactly the same and I really like how you showed the differences in the formulas. I prefer the more dense powders since too much fallout always ruins my looks.

Yes, I love when Wet n Wild comes out with palettes like this! It lets me try out color stories without buying and returning more expensive palettes (if they don’t work out). Plus, it helps in a pinch if you’re traveling and ‘need’ a palette, lol. I didn’t see them at my Walgreens yesterday, but I’ll have to snoop around a little more. I like that you compared the palettes on your eyes (that really shows the similarities) and also appreciate your explanation of dupes- I think it’s important to realize that things can be comparable, without being the exact same. Anyways, I’m looking forward to finding these. Thank you Jen!! You’re always two steps ahead!!
Thank you so much Sarah! I agree these are awesome for trying out the color stories before investing in the higher end version. And you're totally right, palettes can still give comparable looks with different formulas, it just depends on how much a person wants to work with the formula to make it work for them. I would never show or recommend a horrible palette just because it's a dupe for something and I hope the naysayers understand that. 😊 All of the dupes I show can be worked with (and in some cases be just as good as) the higher end palettes. ❤️
Absolutely! I think over the years I've been disappointed in some hyped up 'dupes', but I've never had a problem going off your recommendations! I'm sorry people have bugged you about it, I honestly believe your comparisons and dupes are so well thought out. You're helping so many people with all your hard work!!
I agree when I tell some people about dupes I've found they are like "no its not" but I feel if you can do comparable looks issa dupe lol I agree they don't have to be IDENTICAL

Plus, I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to too much color. Your looks using different colors always look wearable and not about a making a statement. Just complimenting your eyes.
Aw thank you so much Mary! I've been getting braver about using color on my eyes but still try to keep it fairly muted. I don't feel comfortable leaving my house in anything too bold. Where I live most people just wear neutrals and very minimal makeup.
You have such a good eye for dupes and the best swatches! I am on the hunt for these palettes, I checked 2 of the closest Walgreens near me but they don't have them so I have a couple more stores I can look in. I wish they were at Walmart!

Finally found it today, hiding in a small area at the end of an isle in Walgreens. You were not kidding that they were not in easy view. They're much more beautiful in person.

Due to your comparisons between WnW and ABH, I prefer WnW because I dont like messy powdery shadows. I am very familiar with Wnw palettes so I know what to expect and how to apply them. So that is not a big concern for me. You're right it all boils down to personal preference. Thx Jen!

I find little foam applicators, that seem to be out of favor, work well with Wet n' Wild shadows.
Yes!! I can totally see that. They sort of act like a finger and pick up denser formulas well, while soft powdery shadows pick up well with a brush. Great tip!! 🙌🤗
DixieAmazon You just gave me an idea! When I swatched the Urban Decay Born to Run palette in Ulta, I used the disposable foam applicators. Those swatches sold me on how beautiful the shades are. But since then, a few of the shades don't quite do what I want with a brush or a finger (although the Sigma E56 is a miracle worker).
I use them to apply shimmer shades too!
They're amazing for metallic shades!

Wow if I hadnt already picked up MUR velvet rose I'd get my glamor squad! I feel like owning the ABH and velvet rose are already providing me with that pretty sultry romantic color scheme but if I hit pan on my ABH id consider it even though tempera is my FAVE browbone highlight and blending shade!

If WnW can give us affordable dupes that are nearly spot on color for color and give us an amazing formula, then I have to question why makeup companies are charging us such exorbitant prices for their eyeshadows? I will be getting the Lila dupe from WnW, that one caught my eye. Thanks for all the hard work you do on your dupe videos.
I feel the same way! Between Wet n Wild, Elf, Profusion, Bad Habit, and Colourpop I don't see any reason to buy high end palettes at all! The affordable ones have just gotten so good.

I love purple shadows and have been looking for a dupe for the natasha lila palette because I cannot afford to drop that kind of cash on a palette. I'll definitely be looking for that dupe

I Love Dupes and U did AMAZING at finding these. I would have just been thrilled with new palettes from WnW and probably wouldn’t have thought about dupes. Lol. I can’t wait to grab them all. I don’t have any of the Higher end ones. These will be Perfect for me. Thanks so so much. By the way I did see the snow. Looks so pretty at someone’s else’s house. They mentioned we might get some at the end of of next week. Just makes me nervous my son driving to work in it. No experience in it yet. Lol.

As excited as I am for these palettes, I WISH SO DESPERATELY that WNW would come out with a Tarte In Bloom eye palette dupe. Remove one of the blacks and replace it with another shimmer to go with the color scheme. Keep all the colors everyone loves. I just cant afford to shell out $46 every time for one palette.
Update: I emailed them with my request. Lets hope its brought into the universe.

Beauddiction yes!! We usually have very muggy, humid summers and harsh, snowy winters but the last couple of years we haven’t gotten as much snow! Today it’s 70 degrees! But it’s supposed to drop to the 30’s before the week ends! It’s been the craziest, most unpredictable weather! 🤔

I just called a local Walgreens and they just got the whole collection including lipsticks today they are still in the warehouse in boxes but the manager said I could come in and get them!! Yaaay! I called three other Walgreens that don't have them yet.

I went to my Walgreens yesterday to find them, but they didn’t have them!
Aww I hope they get them soon! I've noticed that some stores never get the Wet n Wild new displays, it seems like only some of them do. The beauty advisor in my closest store said that they don't get them, even though they carry WnW. The new products just show up when they re-do the main display several months later. It's very frustrating!
😮🤔 Hmm Do you think Norvina is a dupe of ND Lila? 😛 Purple is my favorite color and I have Norvina, I really was saving money to get Lila but if is very similar maybe is not worth it 🙈🤪😜
No it's not really that similar because Norvina has more pastel pinks and purples plus lots of neutrals while Lila has deeper pinks, purples and berries.
