I started watching this drama for V then fall in love with everyone. Lol. I just finished 3 dramas of Park So Joon, one of Park Hyunksik and one of Choi Minho.
2 years ago, I re watched this because of hyunsik but ended up re watching for Minho . Then I could not get enough from him, that's when I learned he's an idol from SHINee. From watching SHINee because of Minho to becoming a SHINee fan. Now I consider myself a Shawol. I was never into kpop before but because of Minho and SHINee's passion to their craft, I have come to appreciate kpop music .
I’ve been a SHINee fan for years. They are the best in KPop in my opinion. They’ve been consistently excellent for 13 years. I listen to other groups too. But always come back to SHINee. They are my happy place.
Hwarang is one of my favorites to watch and worth watching, love all those actors they had great chemistry together, plus V's acting was so natural and his role fit him so well in this, hope to see more of these guys together again for acting or hanging out too, we need the woogi squad back and hwarang squad back plus more interactions too *need to watch this again, season 2 would be cool to have for this too
Well, at that stage in his life he wasn't really acting as much as being pretty much being himself. He was perfectly cast as if the role/character was based ON him. I find a lot of satisfaction in knowing that real life bromances are still going strong and this drama played a big part (pun intended!) in bringing the guys together.

I started watching only a few months ago (bored and was browsing Netflix). I liked and knew Minho because of Shinee and know of V from BTS so I started watching Hwarang and experienced Korean drama for the first time. I give it 8/10. Park Hyungsik caught my attention in this. Good looking bloke and there is just something very charismatic about him that makes you keep looking back at him. I really like his role in Hwarang. V was okay.
Yeah there's something contagious in Park Hyung Sik, some say his puppy eyes, smile or his melodic voice (btw, his live version of his song sounds just like that in studio version) but I just realized it's his cute nose lol

Oh i didn't realize how i missed Minho in K-Drama as Soo Ho 😂. The cheerful, passionate, optimistic guy is so like him. Who ever wants to cast him again don't give him sad again please.

I loved Minho’s scenes with everyone. I especially liked the last few scenes with the Queen where his sensitive side came out. As a SHINee fan he was a big draw for me to watch this show, and PSJ. But I ended up as Hyungsik’s fan. He did an amazing job as the King. Such a powerful & nuanced performance.
I think most people who watched this Hwarang fell in love with Park Hyung Sik ♥️ then started to watch his other dramas. I'm one of them, I got so hooked. I fell for his voice, too. Such a good singer. Try listening to some OST sang by him.
Hwarang boys were commendable but for me Hyung-sik did stand out as king👑 so much ! ❤ He had such an immense impact 💥 throughout which kept me hooked until the end. Much love and appreciation 👏👏👏❤❤❤

Great story, great characters and roles.People got killed by seeing the faceless king and people giving up their lives by protecting the fake king.And the desire of the two kings-to-be......are the same. The young people who are controlled by their parents, elders who are freed from their grasps.At the end,it's about what kind of heart and mind you have.
