I wish we could have seen more of Jake and Neytiri being good parents to their children. When the war with the RDA escalated, Jake had to become a leader instead of a father which only caused him to train his sons neteyam and lo'ak in a strict manner because he fears losing them. He really needs to empathize with both sons, as much as he tried to be understanding towards Kiri and Tuk.
But in the end Jake is an overall good father, yes?
Jake and Neytiri are really good parents to Neteyam, Lo'ak, Spider, Kiri and Tuk
The second part is super shown with family values

I actually will buy the bluray for the making of. I liked the first movie more than the second. The story of the second has a strange feeling of missing cohesion in it, maybe because of the multiple authors or maybe the way it was cut. Story is the foundation of a movie; everything you build on top of it is only cosmetics. But I am hyped what they can accomplish for Avatar 3 🥰
I always knew they would have children and I am so excited to see this... Although a big part has been spoiled for me 😭

I hate how they reduced Neytiri's character to just "mother". I hope they give her more to do in the next one cause she's a much better character than just the mother of some other characters
Fingers crossed, but not likely - James Cameron likes to focus on two or three protagonists (i.e. Lo'ak, Tsireya) and reduce everybody else to stock characters.
What do you even mean lmao, she was more than just a 'mother' already.
When you become a mother, that’s the most defining part of you. Only someone who’s had children would understand. You would give your life for them, and they’re the only thing you care and worry about. Family becomes your priority, and I think that in this selfish day and age we need to see good, caring mothers on screen much more often.
