Really cool video. The example of Mars in Gemini with the Sun/Mercury/Venus together resonated so deeply with my chart. That was a delight (pun not intended).
My Atmakaraka and lagna lord Me is in the 8th in D1 amd with Ra in 4th house in D9 in Leo. Lord buddha was enlightened during the Me mahadasha. I totally get what you said about observing. I had a traumatic childhood so it was hard. But because i have Ma Mo Ke conjunct in 10th in D9, i was able to unlearn and break the old conditioning and now i can easily make and break mental wirings. I CANT wait to get into my Me dasha in 2035.
I haven't finished listening yet but this is Mercury as the High Priestess with the mind building knowledge to protect oneself, so the knight of cups, which I believe is Mercury too, as Hermes, is the mind and the body working together putting it into action (as he wears the fish, the ecliptic line of borders). I'm not knowledgeable just soaking up all this information. Your very valuable knowledge I always translate into my tarot.
Thank you! ❤ This has added more insight to a current situation i have been working through past 3 years. I think i see what has been unfolding now.🙏🏾 i have an exalted mercury per modern astrology but "bad" venus in the house of mercury
That resonates, beside even a good Mercury needs a teacher. Insha'Allah for the day I bumped into yr videos in 2012. That was when Jupiter was transitting my 9th house. Maybe mercury is able to recognize a good teacher when it is conjunct with Jupiter.
It definitely is. Mercury more or less doesn't like Jupiter(depending on how happy it is - as per sign, house, aspects), but Jupiter still blesses whatever planet that comes into contact with it. Much love your way! Namaste!🙏

Thanks Ernst. Yet more great astrological insights. I think my Mercury is okay - it scores the highest in terms of dignity - and I didn't have any major traumas aged 3-12, in fact in retrospect, those years were good, quite golden even. I'm not a professional astrologer but, that said, I've done some training course, and I think my Mercury signs are average. I'm also a Virgo rising. I never knew 12-20 was the age of Venus. This is interesting since I vividly remember the major problems of my life started almost exactly when I was 12 (or 13) and got steadily worse. My Venus is in Cap at a late degree. It is the closest planet to Rahu. My Venus signs are not great: I have Moon conjunct Mars in Taurus, so the strong Moon is ruined by the proximity of Mars. I have Pluto and Uranus in Libra (two malifics). My teenage years were rough. I really changed and became withdrawn. I lost a lot of my Mercury-age friends because my ambitious father wanted to go to what he considered a 'better-type' of school (Saturn in Gemini) and I lost my mercury powers of speech. I had a lot of minor traumas during my Venus age but taken together they probably add up to one major trauma. Things have gone steadily downhill since in every area of my life except my job, however, even here the effect of my weak Venus is seen, as although the job is quite high status and I'm very good at it, I still only earn an average salary, so from a financial aspect (Venus) it's mediocre. Obviously this Venus problem is most acute when it comes to relationships because that's where financial issues get highlighted. So in my case, despite the strong start I got from Mercury my life has got a lot worse, not better. Maybe my Mercury has given me some resilience in dealing with all the problems I have faced. People say I'm good at surviving and adapting but that is a whole lot different to actually prospering. It feels like I'm forever fencing my way out of corners with multiple 'adversaries' and just about slipping away to safety (not winning but surviving to fight another day). So, in my case a fairly strong Mercury (its not super) has enabled me to adapt and survive but not exactly have a great life. You need a good Venus for that, I think. I've met people with good Venus's and they really have the easiest of rides imaginable. Help and resources seem to flow effortlessly to them, or so it seemed to me. Interesting.
Thank you Ernst 😊 I have mercury, venus and jupiter in virgo in the first house, mercury conjunct my ascendant however moon in leo also conjuncts the ascendant from the 12th. Does this offset my starved moon in any way? When I let go I can read charts intuitively and paint pictures. Sometimes however my head gets in the way and i freeze and or make mistakes. I have always learned quickly, an avid reader and I have an above average I Q. My life skills and choices were not always too great.
how do you really tell though if the mercury in a chart is good or bad, strong or weak? Can you show some examples? Bruce Lee in his D1 chart has jupiter(enemy) and saturn and moon(enemy) aspecting mercury which is in the 12th house. This does not bode well for mercury yet we know he has a better mercury than most. Explain please?
You use the Lajjitaadi Avasthas which are the rules for what makes a planet not function well and so cause grief. I have several courses on those. But mercury is starved when with moon, in cancer, aspected by Moon, with saturn. Then its shamed when with sun, saturn or mars in 5th, or with sun saturn mars and with rahu and ketu. Its not strong in pisces, its weak, but its not pathological.
Serena Williams has Mercury as the atmakaraka, do you think this is why she's one of the best tennis players in the world? I'm no expert so I don't know how to judge a planet's strength, but only after 2012 when she hired a new coach/teacher did she shine as one of the best. She's not only strong but fast and places her shots so well. Also, when she's not frustrated her face is frighteningly neutral, just watch her at the 2012 Olympics when she dominated Sharapova. I'd love to see you interpret Serena's chart and why she had the success she had. Mercury gives a strong constitution so maybe that's why she's a powerful player.
My ascendant is in Gemini, my Mercury is in Virgo together with Ketu. My childhood and adolescence was a catastrophe, full of mental problems. It doesn't help that I have a lonely moon.
My mom has venus mercury ketu conjunction in Gemini her 4th house... her childhood was also a catastrophe, but as she aged I'd say her life is exponentially better. Keep the faith my friend, you are in my prayers.
@@itzel.elizabeth Thank you. 🙏 Does your mom have anything in Pisces? My Rahu is in Pisces and I don't have the feeling that Saturn in the same sign as my natal Rahu is positive for me. I had water related problems for the last two years, such as mould on a wall in my flat and damage to my floor caused by water. Unfortunately Saturn stays in Pisces for a very long time.🙄
I have Ketu exactly on my natal Saturn right now... and it's 5° from my ascendant... I believe Saturn can help mitigate some of that Rahu in Pisces in your chart. Good luck to you my friend!
Huh I have moon conjunct my ascendant In capricorn which suggests some kinda connection there between mind and body and I had Vic Di Cara do my birth chart for me and his report mentioned that mercury was the least prominent planet (6 prominence) in my chart (66% positive) (also the second to least positive planet, only suns positivity being lower at 64%) both of those planets are in 12th house. With moon being thee most prominent (37 prominent) so this suggests mercury may show what lacks from my life, so an area to focus on maybe if your saying mercury bridges the mind and body. I think I may have made a concious first contact with mercury already though through direct experience, albeit briefly. Happened a couple of times, usually when doing some monotonous daily task at work 😂
Yes, and Mercury is a malefic when with a malefic so he can give some very hard lessons, but it's only when he is starved by Moon that he becomes SUPER tricky. Then the imagination of the moon makes it impossible for Mercury to do his job well.

Now wait for the next age of jupiter from 32-50 as that can change things.
