Arnold Schwarzenegger had it in his contract, that his name had to appear before the title of the movie. If you watch Batman & Robin for example, it starts with the WB logo, then SCHWARZENEGGER and THEN the Title of the Movie your watching, the Director and the other actors 😁

On some channels, they don't set the screen to the correct display size when rerunning Stargate, so you often ended up with credits that read "CHARD DEAN ANDERSO". I think I prefer Hard Dean Anders though haha

All this time and I did not know they worked on the The Outer Limits together. I only recently picked up the DVD boxset for that show. Now I know why I love it so much. I recently watched a episode of The Outer Limits and was really pleased to see Don S Davis pop up. Again thank you for mentioning the Outer Limits in this video... Even Beau Bridges was in it.

I really like HDA 🙂 I can't exactly point where HDA was the heart and soul of SG1 bcs I liked the new troop in season 9 and 10. Maybe he was the chemistry centre and amalgam, the same occurred after with Claudia Black/Vala. Whenever a hard science fact appeared I imagined either saying "Cmon guys, this is a sci-fi" or "No, not even one cult reference!"
Why did I start watching star gate - o there is no real way to answer this - for it was because of RDAnderson. But why did I become a fan of this gated worlds, thanks to Anderson for showing the wonderful actors n actresses - who could not have pulled giving such a wonderful show, with out - many other wonderful people. Such as the writers and all the behind the cameras staff all of them working together to have a very popular show. What a shame it just had to stop. They need to look at doctor who - and get their asses working again to bring star gate back - yep I am being a Karen - I want to talk to the managers that will not bring back star gate. Hay it works with Star Trek and Spock - why not with star gate.
I still love the series, but if they have faith in the writing, they need to replace these actors who are way to old to be playing these parts. Aging gracefully is something Hollywood doesn’t do well.
The do not need to replace them. They could easily have them playing a role in the show and not running around jumping all over the place. Three of the actors are still young enough to play lead if they wanted to.

Looking forwards to the amazon stargate series. Let's hope it's not the usual crap when they make it all about relationships-love stories with tiny bits of action in between the melodramas. I doubt we will ever get a show as good and straight forward into the action as the original. Here's hoping though.
It will be a multicultural cast with a very very very smart black women, you know she's smart because it's pushed in your face every 5 seconds ( The Foundation, im looking at you) like the later seasons of SG-1 where they had to prop up Carter and make her a literal genius in every field that exists in this universe and probably all the multiverses, EXCEPT archeology, because that's Danny boys thing. They throw in an Asian and a Latino too just to check the boxes.

We’d watch all of these, as well as doc who, Farscape, Star Trek, and firefly. If a show had a werewolf, vamp, or any connection to sci fy we’d watch it. I don’t think I’m alone. I got my love for horror from my mom.
@@scray00 All the sci-fi from 10+ years ago were exceptional and worth showing your children. The people running shows now have no love for sci-fi, or story telling in general. Pandering to people outside of the fans of the genre who won't watch anyhow has become the focus instead. For instance you enjoy horror, compare any modern horror released here that is mostly cheap jump scares at best to the works of Junji Ito. The quality from somebody who truly cares about the genre and telling great stories within that genre is readily apparent. There hasn't been any sci-fi in the past decade that comes close in quality to "Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song" as another example of how Hollywood has just given up on making quality content and favors pandering and ideology instead.
Rick's the kind of guy who's way more invested in the quality of the scripts and execution because that determines the success of the show and how many years he can work on it and get money to pay the bills. 🤣

Couldn't they got off of it on a technicality? I mean 12pt Times New Roman is different size than 12pt Arial or 12pt Tahoma. What I'm getting at, is to have the title font and the name font the same size nominally (say, aforementioned 12pt), but one is physically larger than the other.
I never saw that clip of Anderson and Russel on the SG-1 set. Was there ever consideration of having Russel cameo on SG-1? I recall Anderson Jack saying he had two L’s and the other one had no sense of humor.
Season 2, Episode 9 "Secrets." Great story. General Hammond's claim that the reporter's death at the end was an "accident" added a dark note to the adventure.

It got so funny as it went on. And a really good funny. If i was a billionaire i would try to buy this franchise and go nuts with it. And sink an unrecoverable cost in just for my own enjoyment. Continue SGU but in a VR adventure and lighten up the amount of asshole characters. Make some Telltale style games for Atlantis and SG-1 (like Wolf Among Us style). Do a few simultaneous series like Star Trek is doing - animated, character driven and a full new adventure of the week series - but better. Open up a wiki-style canon to populate thousands of background worlds. Maybe even a No Mans Sky style sandbox game. OR...do it with Mass Effect. If only i had billions to blow...

Stargate sg-1 is one of the few occasions where I never had a favorite member of the main cast. All five were excellent.

Well, I've seen plenty of interviews on YT not behind a paywall. Precedent has been set ages ago.
Believe it or not before YT, and even before the internet, there was this thingy that would broadcast lots of programing, all not behind a paywall. It was great. We called it TELEVISION. The executives who made millions of dollars of this ancient form of media figured out how to turn a profit.

Couldn't they got off of it on a technicality? I mean 12pt Times New Roman is different size than 12pt Arial or 12pt Tahoma. What I'm getting at, is to have the title font and the name font the same size nominally (say, aforementioned 12pt), but one is physically larger than the other.

I never saw that clip of Anderson and Russel on the SG-1 set. Was there ever consideration of having Russel cameo on SG-1? I recall Anderson Jack saying he had two L’s and the other one had no sense of humor.

If i was a billionaire i would try to buy this franchise and go nuts with it. And sink an unrecoverable cost in just for my own enjoyment. Continue SGU but in a VR adventure and lighten up the amount of asshole characters. Make some Telltale style games for Atlantis and SG-1 (like Wolf Among Us style). Do a few simultaneous series like Star Trek is doing - animated, character driven and a full new adventure of the week series - but better. Open up a wiki-style canon to populate thousands of background worlds. Maybe even a No Mans Sky style sandbox game. OR...do it with Mass Effect. If only i had billions to blow...
