They grow in a weird pattern and people make fun of him so he wears bandanas or visors on his forehead to cover them up

Plot hole: Renji sword gave him the incomplete name.....this arc luckily is filler.... If not it would have make the plot hole bigger...when Zero Squad leader told him the complete name..

I don't think this is a big as a plot hole as it appears, if Zamimaru did not acknowledge Renji's strength to a point where it would reveal it's true name, then it will hardly think him worthy of fighting it's true ability at that time. That's never stated or anything, just my own weak defense to bleach as I love bleach as a whole haha.
