It's Duong's business, using tools destroys his business, it isn't about negativity, it is about caring about Duong.
This channel has 1.16 million subscribers here for PRIMITIVE skills, guess what happens to a Business with zero customers?
please think critically, instead of trying to ruin Duongs business.
the average Vietnamese citizen makes 750$ a month.
This channel, which Duong owns and operates on his own whims as he has no boss?, generates between 6,000$ and 100,000$ a year.
Guess what happens when this channel dies?
      That value goes to zero.
It matters a lot, if they use tools, as tools don't pay his bills.

If it were taller and about twice as tall with much longer handles, you would have more leverage with it and not have to stoop over when working with it. I realize that you can't do everything 100% primitive and still churn out a new video each day, but you do most things primitive on the farm and you teach us HOW it is done, and to me, that is the point right? You shouldn't have to kill yourself for ratings. I know you were in a hurry to clear the new land to feed your animals. I hope the concession of using the chainsaw on the new farm helped. People don't realize how much animals actually eat and most farms are adding feed from the store. That is a lot of feed! Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. I get it. :))

I agree with you. We have been shown over and over again that the most basic tools can make something. I like the fact that she has helped to advance the farm. As I think the farm is making money and not just a little bit. Like lots to be life changing which is why we have see it grow huge amounts in the last year.

Aplainar uma estrada e depois fazer uma calçada para rampa.

Hope you are well and Đường is getting healthy. I still love to watch your videos but would like to see you keep the Primitive Skills channel primitive with a more natural progression in technology. If I may suggest you build the new land using more advanced technology on your Hưáng Hương channel Đường could keep his followers and you may get more on yours.

Signature signs it's a Primitive Skills video: Long shots from a far distance, with a panorama of the site and a tiny figure working in the distance, reminding us that everything being done is a part of the overall plan for the location. Up-close shot of tiny wildlife just chilling and doing their thing, whether it's bugs or caterpillars or whatever, a reminder to pause to enjoy nature. Low-angled perspective shots looking up at the person working, so you feel immersed in the action / environment. Over the person's shoulder, as if a guest is getting to observe the work. (All of these are very enjoyable, the way you do it!) 🥰
(Also another sign it's a Primitive Skills video--I forgot to turn on the CC at the start, and that means having to go back to the beginning to enjoy the conversations as well as the sounds & sights of the activities! (Never a hardship, always a pleasure.))

On the subject of your channel:
Though I was attracted at first with the title "Primitive Skills" it was the perseverance and knowledge of how to farm, how to cut down plants, create items that were necessary and useful that kept me looking forward to the next vlog. Now that I've started to get to know you both through them, the title and name of your vlog is correct. "Skills" is the way you deal with whatever nature throws at you on your farm, alone in the wilderness with your animals, you live this life out of choice.
Those that complain that you are using modern tools to "relieve her of the primitive of the channel" must realize that you have strong core and leg strength, not upper chest and arm strength. That's how the human body differs between men and women. We are all built differently and it's what attracts each of us to each other.
"Primitive" means different things to people. On this channel and farm there are no computers, no laptops, no TV, no faucets with running water you can turn on and off at whim, no cars, no air conditioning, no flushing toilets, no grid electricity, no box store nearby to buy prepared meats, fruits, veggies, shampoo, soap. There are also no appliances: no stove, no fridge, no freezer, no plug in tea/coffee machine or kettle, no toaster oven or microwave. Every wonder how our great grandparents kept things like milk, eggs and cheese from going bad before iceboxes were invented?
On this channel you will only find a homestead at its most basic level - a cob house with attached outdoor kitchen, an irrigation system that provides electricity when needed (not all through the day) from a flush of water through a extremely basic generator, a farm that includes fish, chickens and pigs to slaughter for meals when needed and vegetables and fruits growing for sustenance. Pigs eat weeds we can't as well as provide meat when they're fat enough, hens lay eggs and provide meat and feathers to make a thick blanket for cold months or provide a mattress, fish are food that can be dried, pickled or eaten fresh. Though "Primitive" makes it sound like the skills being taught are those of the caveman, that is not Duong's purpose here.
He said it himself in the very first vlog: He wanted to recapture what my grandparents learned from their parents and I want to help people of today see that. He also wants to show the techniques they used because there may come a time when we'll need people who know how to grow crops, feed animals and cook for ourselves because the world will be without electricity, heat, social media, internet and modern conveniences.
Here I've learned how to apply the techniques they both employ for my everyday needs. Like, how to use bamboo to create items needed to do farming, gathering, fishing, building, etc., how to tie a knot with a piece of bark that doesn't break in my hands; how to make a thin rope from the fibers of a plant; how to basket weave, sharpen a knife, build a fire pit, build a fire to rest a big pot on top without having it topple over, create, make and cook food in an earthen jar, make a fish hook out of a piece of metal, make a roof from tree trunks, branches and palm leaves as well as using wood sticks, etc., etc., etc.. And I'm still learning!
Thank you for showing the rest of the world how our ancestors and grandparents have allowed us to grow from a few essentials. We wouldn't be living in a materialistic world today had it not been for their investing in our highly technical world we know today. Only thing is, technology can't survive without some form of power. Electricity or battery. .Duong and his wife are showing us the knowledge of our fore-bearers and bringing it closer to our cultures so that we can learn from them and be able to perpetuate this in our communities. Remember Disney's film WALL-E? AT the very end, the people on board the Axiom need to re-learn how to sustain themselves without technology.
Let's all appreciate what Duong and his wife are teaching us today. And send them a great thank you!
