- Today on JD Cars we are installing a new Seibon VS-Style carbon fiber hood! This is a quite unique looking hood. The hood has a large vent and very aggressive lines surrounding it. As always, the carbon work from Seibon is gorgeous and the fitment is quite good. Overall, I am super stoked to have this hood installed on the F30 and I can’t wait to add more carbon to the car. Looks sick bro. Definitely need to get some more carbon tho to bring the look together. Would suggest mirror covers and a carbon m4 spoiler maybe some side splitters. Love seeing the progress man!!!

I have the same good on my f32. To align the hood I hang to buy 1/2 inch longer screws (8) and lots of washers to use as spacers at hardware store. Use them to raise the part of the bumper where the the emblem is. Then will align perfectly

Curious to how it that vent works in the rain. Looks great, but does it just pool up like a bird bath? Or does it drip into the engine bay? Thinking about being one myself for my 340i

Apply either glass coat or clear wrap if, worried the clear coat will wear off after sometime parking under sun 👍

is the under-side of the hood aluminum or plastic???? also how strong is the CF attatched to the OEM hood latchs?
Any issues with the vent like rain/snow/soap/etc.?

I am really like your Hood, And planning to buy one however I can see the Net designed in the middle of your hood, It looks so cool but will the rain be able to come through that and go straight to the Engine.

What’s the weight distribution impact?
Great question! Not tremendous but almost 50 pounds of weight savings if I recall correctly. It's slightly noticeable.
I have a similar hood that's been on for a few years. All of a sudden my driver side won't latch. Any suggestions?
Try adjusting the latch on that side as well the little limiting knob
