Haha I’m starting to get that feeling… I think I’m going to fish this place my way. I got stuck listening to everyone and kept punching all day. I’ll just keep switching it up. Thanks man🍻👍🏻🎣😎
First my man, Welcome to California! Lived in 5 countries, few states in US. Nothing had my heart like California. Mainly due to the versatile both entertainment wise & the land variations. Probably a FISHING HEAVEN. Outside of the 700+ lakes we've got the Delta, Bays and Ocean to fish. Few thousand Rivers. Love the channel & content, well done in every aspect that I've noticed. The editing I feel your pain. Our editing time I guess then is similar. I'll enjoy as much of the Bass fishing as I can, would love seeing the other types of fishing. Sounds like you have a SOLID plan worked out! Man hope the fishing here in North Cali does you well boss! *sec got a bite* Ken (typing recon obviously) & Lea
I fish the Central Delta every week and use all kinds of baits. Watch "In Deep on the Delta", "The Bass Hookup" and different videos about fishing the tides. There are also several other UA-camrs about fishing on the Delta, even some fishing from kayaks in your area. Oh, and be careful of the wind.
It’s definitely the most unique fishery I’ve fish on.. it’s like a big city pond that never got cleaned haha. I was just down at the ramp and the tournament (boat) guys are having a difficult time right now. They’re running way out into the fingers of the delta. I’m still learning all the boat ramps and fishing different areas. There’s only one way to learn how to fish the delta…get out and fish the delta. 😎👍🏻🍻🍻🍻🎣🎣
I'm a delta local (not nearly as local as you!) and a kayak bass angler. The Delta can break your heart and it can also really excite it! No fish one day and dozens the next. I launch out of Sugarbarge regularly. Punching is a part of the delta, but there is a lot of other stuff to do. Plenty of opportunity for you with frog, swimbait, chatterbait, worms, and jigs. Straight braid is true, but cranks and open trebles all the time along the rock banks do produce fish. That area in Franks you went through is loaded in the spring. The break in the wall to the left of your launch (behind the fire boat) holds fish on the tide swings. That's going to be big for you - learn the tides. I'm excited for you. I've thought about buying something on the water on at Franks for fishing. Glad you got one. Happy to fish with you sometime and show you around.
Thank you for all the information man. I think I got stuck chasing mats this day and couldn’t stopping punching… haha😂 Let’s definitely go out fishing. I’m down! 👍🏻🍻🎣😎
Welcome to the Delta nice place you have! I fished the Delta for years, sometimes it will humble you. Fish the docks on either side of piper slough or down sand mound . I’ve caught nice 4-5 # bass through there this time of year. Like others have said keep multiple rods on your boat. Stick with your confidence baits when the bite is tough. Dropshot, senko, cranks, etc. I don’t care what anyone says, the Senko is the most versatile bait next to a roboworm. If the bass ain’t biting worms you missed the bite window or they’re in a funk. Learn how to fish the tides and pick out cover. Most locals are friendly and are willing to give you some information making small talk. Check out “In deep on the delta” & “Alan Fong outdoors” UA-cam channels if you haven’t heard of them already. Best of luck to you, you’ll get ‘em’ putting time on the water.
You’re awesome brotha! Thank you for the information and the support. I definitely need to change some things up. Everything I have in monofilament needs to jump up about 5lbs haha. There’s enough stuff in the delta to break you off anywhere… I’ll keep grinding. 👍🏻🍻🎣😎
Awesome vid I'm 16 and I fish the delta nearly every weekend and do tournaments as well, one thing your going to want to learn is tides out here tides play a big role and also will want to keep a wacky rigged senko in your arsenal at all times especially for the bedding fish good luck and have fun
Most bass tourneys on the delta launch out of Russos marina right next door to you. Majority of the marinas around there are typically “off limits” for tourneys since all the fish are released at the marina pretty much every weekend. Like many have said in comments, the delta is amazing but can break your heart. The conditions and baits can change daily. Tides are your most important aspect when deciphering any type of pattern. Fish your strengths. Everything works here. Franks is probably one of, if not the most popular delta fishing area there is. There’s big fish everywhere, stripers too. Typical patterns range from high tide topwater to low tide punching and moving baits like chatter spinner and cranks in between. Good luck!!! You’re literally in the middle of a kayak fisherman’s paradise. 🤙🏽
Dude! Congratulations on the new spot man! It’s really cool to see somebody finally make your dreams come to fruition! Very excited to see the contact in the future!
Makes me sad not to be out there for the incoming heat. My brother was just out there and said it was in the 90’s. Damn. The fish are about to turn on out there.. but so is the delta haha topwater action out here is going to be insane
I'm a local and have been fishing the Delta for years. Punching is good but only for the months that they're up shallow. One thing to know is the Delta pattern is always changing. One day they'll be on one pattern, the next day something completely different. My suggestion, pack a lot of options of techniques. Most common you can get them on are various type of worm presentations and creature baits. The bass here love them some craws! Best of luck dude, excited to see some more videos!
You’re awesome brotha! Thank you for the information. Little different than Arizona. I’m definitely changing to a little heavy line and switching some stuff up this weekend. 👍🏻🍻🎣
Definitely. I’ve been chatting up the guys at the weekend tournaments and that’s what they’re saying. Also, none of the tournament guys are fishing anywhere near a dock or boat ramp. I’m not sure if these damn sea lions are hurting the area but it seems like the bigger bags are being caught further out. 🍻🍻👍🏻🎣🍻🍻🍻
There’s a couple on Zillow. The guy next door sold for in the 600ks. There’s a lot of old run down houses out here. The dock comes with the house and storage isn’t that expensive out here if you don’t have a dock
Lot of guys at the boat tournaments told me they will chase the tide in there boat as it drops. Really crazy and challenging place to fish. Fun though 👍🏻👍🏻😎🍻🍻🍻🍻🎣
The delta is the most unique fishery I’ve ever fished. I think the “technique” is keep moving and keep throwing and move some more. Haha big place to fish in a kayak 👍🏻🍻🍻😎
He's back! That place looks so rad! Hyped for all the videos coming. Congratulations on the new adventure, Casey!
Thanks brotha. I’m super pumped to be here. I need to throw a huge fishing fishing party 🍻😎🎣
Keep Grinding Cuz.
Try a weedless frog in the mornings.
Talk to the locals, then go the opposite direction from what they tell ya. Ha

you are going to need a bass boat to get to different areas, have fun with the bass and stripers.

I'm a Cali native but I just moved back out here from AZ. I fish from my Hobie and I have a bass boat. Maybe I'll see you around the Delta.
That’s awesome! I need to get a boat just for the delta haha. I’m waiting on a sea lion to jump on me 😂.. I’ll see you out there 🍻🍻👍🏻🎣😎

Always wanted to live on the delta. What is the avg cost of a property and are there additonal costs like dock fees, etc.? Where can I find listings?

Haha. Thanks brotha. Did you catch it in the long creek by the boat docks? You go right out of the main boat launching….
I’m driving back south in 2 weeks or so.. I’ll hit you up for a puddingstone trip 👍🏻👍🏻😂
Yep, North shore. There out there. I'd love to fish with you bud.
We throw 7" savage swim baits on the delta..
I’m a Swimbait guy. I usually throw 6”-7” dangerous around but it didn’t seem like people were throwing swimbaits
